Earlier this week, I covered the players that made 1st & 2nd team from Class B. Today, I will review the remaining All State student-athletes that play in the Class B division.
In his first year on varsity, Isaiah Hill Isaiah Hill 6’0″ | 205 lbs | RB Maryvale | 2026 NY made 3rd team All State as a Running Back. Hill was a great complimentary back running 67 times for 666 yards and 9 touchdowns. An overall fantastic athlete, Isaiah also contributed in the pass and return game, accumulating over 1,000 all purpose yards and 12 total touchdowns. He possesses extraordinary balance, phenomenal vision and breakaway speed that makes him a threat to score every time he touches the football. Defensively, he was a stud as well totaling 41 tackles (16 for loss) 3 forced fumbles and 2 interceptions as a hybrid Linebacker. Isaiah Hill Isaiah Hill 6’0″ | 205 lbs | RB Maryvale | 2026 NY ‘s football instincts are amazing and with 2 more years of High School football left, he is sure to make more noise in the Western New York area.
Quarterback Justus Kleitz Justus Kleitz 6’0″ | 160 lbs | QB Iroquois | 2026 State NY has excellent mechanics with superb pocket presence. He has proven to be very accurate and careful with the football by taking what the defense gives him. In his two season as Iroquois starting QB, he has completed 69.2% of his passes and his touchdown to interception ratio is 4 to 1. As a Freshman in 2022, Kleitz flew on the scene throwing for 2,267 yards and 24 TDs while leading the Chiefs to an 11-1 record and a Section VI Championship. Justus has the agility and the wherewithal to make something out of nothing when a play breaks down. His ability to improvise a play is second to none. A two sport athlete for the Chiefs, Justus Kleitz Justus Kleitz 6’0″ | 160 lbs | QB Iroquois | 2026 State NY is a name College scouts are going to want to remember come next season.
A transfer from St. Mary’s High School, Sheldon Cunningham Jr was a two way starter for Health Sciences Charter in 2023. Sheldon plays with high intensity and has quick hands that make it very difficult for him to be blocked. Cunningham is incredibly fast for a player of his size. He can be seen tackling Running Backs some 20 yards down field. He has recorded 72 tackles (11 for loss) in the last two seasons. His tenacity that made him dominate on defense translated to offense as Cunningham made 4th team All State as an Offensive Guard, leading the Falcons rushing attack to amass over 3,000 yards on the ground.
Matthew Prusiecki Matthew Prusiecki 5'8" | 170 lbs | DB Maryvale | 2024 NY
Matthew Prusiecki Matthew Prusiecki 5'8" | 170 lbs | DB Maryvale | 2024 NY
A two sport athlete at Maryvale, Prusiecki displays a wide array of abilities. He made 4th team All State as a Defensive Back, posting 45 tackles and 2 interceptions as a Senior. He tackles with superior form and has excellent instincts. Matthew plays an aggressive style of defense that is needed at the Safety position. Prusiecki also proved to be a viable option at receiver, leading the Flyers in receptions with 21. As a wideout, he has excellent footwork, soft hands and is extremely quick. When he didn’t get the ball thrown to him, he showed off another skill he had; blocking. Blocking is an overlooked attribute many receivers need and Matthew Prusiecki Matthew Prusiecki 5’8″ | 170 lbs | DB Maryvale | 2024 NY does it better than anyone.
Layne Jaworowicz Layne Jaworowicz 5’10” | 170 lbs | ATH Alden | 2024 State NY made 5th team all state as a Running Back, although he has been Alden’s starting Quarterback since half way through his Junior season. Listed as a QB, it is apparent that Jaworowicz is an athlete first. Not one for being a passer, Layne has used his speed and incredible quickness to lead Alden in rushing each of the last two seasons running for 2,398 yards and 33 touchdowns in that span. There were times where he even lined up at Wide Receiver. He also proved to be a serviceable defensive back recording 44 tackles and 3 interceptions. Jaworowicz has all the tools to play at the college level. Although, he has not committed to any school yet, he will be playing college football in 2024.
Alexander Chukhanenko
Alexander Chukhanenko
At 6’6 350 lbs, Alexander Chukhanenko towers over his opponents. A three year varsity player, Chukhanenko has been a presence since day 1, completely manhandling opposing lineman. He has massive lower body strength that gives him leverage to drive defenders off the ball and reach the second level. Alex has a high motor and blocks to the whistle. His long wingspan allows him to separate defensive linemen from the play at hand. I haven’t seen anything on his future endeavors but given his size and his powerful presence, he should get the attention from collegiate scouts.
