<p>Leading the way in total pass receptions in Class 5A was the dominating senior combination of [player_tooltip player_id='1103595' first='Alex' last='Parks'], with 83 receptions, and [player_tooltip player_id='1103752' first='Tate' last='Everard'], with 78, who combined to catch 161 passes in the 2023 season. In close pursuit was senior [player_tooltip player_id='259842' first='Callen' last='Barta'] from Seaman who hauled in 77 passes, just one behind the top twosome. Beyond the high-flying numbers of the top three, there are quite a few excellent receivers that we will assess below.</p>

<p>Top 5A Pass Catchers for the 2023 Season:</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1103595' first='Alex' last='Parks']</strong>, 5'9, 160, Blue Valley Southwest, '24 - finished with a class-high total of 83 receptions in helping Blue Valley reach the state semi-finals. On those receptions he gained 1,381 yards, averaging 16.6 yards per reception, with a 75-yard touchdown reception being his longest. Additionally, he led 5A in receiving touchdowns with 20. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1103752' first='Tate' last='Everard']</strong>, 6'2, 171, Blue Valley Southwest, '24 - as the other half of the dynamic duo, caught 78 passes for the season. He gained 1,299 yards on those receptions, which was third in Class 5A. Additionally, he averaged a strong 16.7 yards per catch and caught 13 touchdowns, with a long of 58 yards.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='259842' first='Callen' last='Barta']</strong>, 6'2, 175, Seaman, '24 - was in the mix all season for top pass catcher, eventually coming in third with 77 receptions. He produced a 5A-leading 1,441 yards on those 77 and was second in the state averaging 18.7 yards per catch. Along with those eye-popping numbers he also caught 17 touchdown passes.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='545647' first='Lexton' last='Grafke']</strong>, 5'10, 170, Lansing, '24 - finished in a tie for the fourth slot with 60 pass receptions. He broke the 1,000-yard barrier with 1,068 yards, averaging 17.6 yards per catch. In addition, he scored 10 touchdowns, one of which was a season-long of 77 yards.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='442624' first='Bryson' last='Hayes']</strong>, 6', 180, Maize, '25 - tied for fourth with 60 catches on the season. He produced a total of 962 yards and averaged 16.0 yards per catch. One of his 10 TD receptions was an 85-yard score which was one of the longest of the season.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1223963' first='Jayden' last='Moore']</strong>, 6', 170, Shawnee Heights, '24 - caught 54 passes for 688 yards. He added five touchdowns and averaged 12.7 yards per catch; <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='442660' first='Carter' last='Pabst']</strong>, 6'1, 180, Eisenhower, '25 who hauled in 51 passes for 893 yards. He also averaged 17.5 yards per catch and scored 19 touchdowns; and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1223957' first='Bryer' last='Finley']</strong>, 6'4, 185, Seaman, '25 caught 50 passes for 632 yards. He also scored 10 TDs and averaged 12.6 yards per catch.</p>
