Kennan Brown Jr. — 5-9, 171 QB — Lafayette Renaissance (2027)
Another young passer in Louisiana’s strong wave at the position, “K.J.” has a couple minutes of varsity highlights thus far — primarily of well-placed long balls dropped into receivers downfield.
Ja’myron Dillon — 5-7, 145 ATH — Amite Westside Middle (2028)
“Joker” is a speedy young athlete from Tangipahoa Parish with early highlights all over the field, playing fast and physically whether at running back, receiver or in the secondary.
K.J. Fontenette — 5-9, 140 WR — St. Martinville (2026)
The sophomore receiver is a smaller target who appears on film to have good explosiveness in his release and out of breaks and to stop on a dime on hitches and comebacks to help create good space for catches and the opportunity to make defenders miss for additional yards.
Peyton Landry Peyton Landry 6'1" | 165 lbs | QB New Iberia | 2026 State LA — 6-1, 165 QB — New Iberia (2026)
This name should be the familiar to Prep Redzone Louisiana fans, although with a notable update. The young passer, ranked among the early names to watch in Louisiana’s 2026 class, transferred this year from Westgate to New Iberia.
Morris Walters Morris Walters 6'1" | 180 lbs | WR Jeanerette | 2027 State LA — 6-1, 185 ATH — Jeanerette (2027)
The Tigers’ young standout had an impressive freshman season with 41 catches for 602 yards and seven touchdowns for the resurgent program making its first quarterfinal run since 1990. His combination of size and speed makes him among the most intriguing young standouts to watch in Louisiana’s 2027 class early on.
