Chancellor Sparks Chancellor Sparks 5’9″ | 165 lbs | RB Parker | 2026 State AL was a terrific weapon in Parker’s offense last season, he had a huge year on the ground for them as a really well rounded running back, and will continue to dominate the next two years. Sparks is a really fun player to watch, he’s really physical with the ball in his hands, doesn’t go down after first contact, and has the speed to outrun defenders in the open field as well. Last season Sparks had a great season out the backfield- totaling up 74 carries for 603 yards and 7 touchdowns on the ground and 4 receptions for 78 yards and 2 touchdowns in the air as well. One of the things that impressed me most about Sparks was how well he was able to use his vision- he patiently waits to strike and when he does, it always results in him getting the greatest possible yardage. Keep an eye on him going into his junior season, he has a ton of talents and potential as a playmaker!

Jamari Burnett Jamari Burnett 5’9″ | 165 lbs | ATH Russell County | 2026 State AL is a really talented wide receiver out of Russell County that made a ton of bigtime plays for them last year in their passing attack. Burnett has some really impressive speed that lets him stretch the field easily- on film he’s constantly seen making big plays downfield. In addition to that he can make some really tough catches as well, it doesn’t matter how covered he is he frequently uses his hands to win over the top of defenders. Last season Burnett was able to total up 34 receptions for 506 yards and 2 touchdowns. Burnett showed a lot of great things on tape last year, if he continues to build off his already well rounded skill set, he’s going to be a threat to opposing defenses for a long time.

Mason Burkhardt Mason Burkhardt 6’1″ | 185 lbs | QB Enterprise | 2026 State AL is a terrific dual threat quarterback for Enterprise that is a super exciting player to watch that can make some really impressive plays with both his arm and his legs. Burkhardt has the ability to quickly process what the defense is doing and has the ability to always keep them on their toes. He has a good arm that can make a variety of tough throws around the field and has the speed and acceleration to outrun opposing defenses as well. Last fall was a big year for him- he ended the season completing 100/173 attempts for 1376 yards and 15 touchdowns through the air, while also totaling up 155 carries for 1041 yards and 16 touchdowns on the ground. Keep an eye on him as he continues to play lights out for Enterprise next fall- if he continues to progress like he has he will be a great player for a long time!

Milaki Handy Milaki Handy 5’9″ | 130 lbs | RB Gardendale | 2026 State AL is a really talented sophomore running back out of Gardendale that did a ton for them in a limited role out the backfield last fall. Handy has a great build and speed for his position, he can physically take on defenders and also evade them as well, making him a really versatile back to gameplan against. Handy is also really good in passing situations as well, he has really good hands and some really good abilities after the catch. Last fall he had himself a great season where he totaled up 49 carries for 274 yards and one touchdown with an additional 8 receptions for 77 yards and one touchdown as well. With how well he played last fall, it’s going to be exciting to see how he does in a more prominent role the next few seasons. Keep an eye on him!
