Quarterback Jonathan Kasahun will take over starting duties for Eli Williams next year and judging by his tape below, he is more than ready. A big lumbering athlete at 6’4 Kasahun has a command of the Eagles offense already. Still a bit of a raw product, but he oozes with potential and his size and frame are sure to go unnoticed. He will get plenty of opportunities next fall and will surely not disappoint.

When I profiled the group of Virginia 2025 running backs, erroneously I did not include Gainesville Koven Smith Koven Smith 5’9″ | 180 lbs | ATH Gainesville | 2025 State VA . That was clearly an error on my part, you should know that I think he is a special talent:
If you don’t know about this man, you best start too now, as a freshman he rushed for over 1,000 yards! This kid has elite speed and vision which are sure to give defensive coordinators nightmares for years to come. He has already topped a sub 4.5 40 and you can see his track speed being displayed on the football field. When you watch a kid like Smith you’re first thought is where did he get that speed, the answer is his genetics but always the grind he puts in daily. A two-sport star when we redo the Virginia rankings he is right up their with Jeffrey Overton , who if you don’t know my infatuation with yet, just check his write up.rn
Peyton Lubbe
Peyton Lubbe
The Statesmen have some potential for next season and getting athlete Peyton Lubbe back from injury will certainly help. The rising senior only played in 3 games last year due to injury but he made an impact on both sides of the ball. He is a stout, tough defensive back who will take on any ball carrier, and has very good footwork too. As a receiver his route running is top notch and he is not afraid to go over the middle for a big catch. Lubbe has solid size as he gets back from his injury I would to like to see him add more playing weight, but the way he has approached this off-season that should not be an issue.

Hudson Grimsley
Hudson Grimsley
Hudson Grimsley had an excellent junior season at quarterback for Mount Vernon and come next fall there is no reason why can’t continue on his progression. Trust me when I tell you, he caught my attention right as the playoffs were beginning here is what I wrote:
The Majors finished the regular season at 5-5 but close it out on two impressive wins over playoff bound Edison and Annandale. Junior quarterback Hudson Grimsley came along quite nicely as the season progressed and he should be a huge concern for Lake Braddock’s defense. Grimsley is a two sport start for Mount Vernon and can sling the pigskin with the best of them in Virginia. A 4.1 GPA to go along with his all conference accolades, expect a shootout between these two schools tomorrow.https://x.com/Grimsley14Hud/status/1721287792020328678?s=20rnGrimsley has an opportunity to be one of the top quarterbacks in the state next year, he is bound for at least division 2 football or higher.
South Lakes does graduate a couple of stud lineman in Aidan Billings and Finn Wilkins, but one star emerging on their line is guard/center Joseph Falls Joseph Falls 5’8″ | 225 lbs | OL South Lakes | 2025 State VA . The young man has great steps when he pulls and his footwork is textbook, you can see on tape he will take on any defensive lineman regardless of their size. He can play guard and center for your offensive line and chances are he could do either well, it’s obvious in tape that this young man was coached well. The Seahawks had a special regular season going a perfect 10-0 with many thrilling victories. That team did graduate a number of stars, but with players like Falls you have to like their chances in 2024.
