Arnold has had a great year after transferring to play in the WCAC at Carroll. His production held up, he ended the season with 97 tackles and 3 sacks, his performance earned him 1st team all WCAC. He’s physical through lead blocks and does a good job of shooting gaps to meet the ball carrier. Kijjambu should be on a solid number of recruiting boards by the spring after putting on a strong 2023 season.
Adam Douglas Adam Douglas 6’2″ | 230 lbs | LB Elkton | 2025 MD is a hard-hitting backer who’s a run stopper in the box. He sheds blocks well and uses that skill to play edge rusher. Along the line he uses finesse as well as strength to fight off blocks. Douglas has been a stat leader on the Elkridge defense since his sophomore season and rising in the rankings consistently.
Highlights
Moyers is a weapon between the tackles, he’s a sure tackler and does a good job of stopping the run at the LOS. Off the edge he’s a weapon too, sealing the edge and getting TFL’s between the hashes and out on the numbers. At 6’0ft 230lbs he can play at either position depending on the defense, that could make him a steal for a program, knocking out two birds with one stone. Moyer is a prospect that is very active in the offseason at prospect camps. I had the opportunity to see him perform in person after his sophomore season at the IAA Winter Showcase where he impressed with his pass coverage, being a bigger skill player against quicker running backs. He showed the same skill last year at the Prep Redzone prospect camp in PA, where he was an honorable mention.
Highlights
Moyer has great size, strength, and is a versatile player. He’s productive off the edge, and on special teams. He puts his strength and power on film throwing blocks on special teams and fighting through blocks from his edge rusher position. Moyer has plenty potential to be a playmaker off the edge with more opportunities. One on one he’s able to overpower and maneuver past blockers, it’ll be exciting to see what he adds to his game over an offseason.
Highlights
Alcide is a very athletic backer that can chase down plays sideline to sideline. He read and reacts fast and is discipline in pursuit; he doesn’t get sucked into the scrum or traffic around him. He bounces off blocks and stays locked in on the ball carrier. In the passing game his speed allows him to get to the flats to cover screens in no time. Offensively he puts his athleticism on display, showing off some speed and elusiveness at running back. Expect Evan to have a big year on both sides of the ball as a seasoned veteran in 2024.
