Prep Redzone has all the details…
Julius Holly – Alpharetta
It was only a matter of time before Holly’s recruitment took off, and that’s exactly what’s happening as the versatile pass-rusher out of Alpharetta has seen several major offers come his way recently. The 6-foot-5 225-pounder fires off the ball and consistently finds his way into the backfield. He plays with good leverage and knows how to drive opposing linemen backwards, shed the block, and go attack the quarterback. An excellent weak-side defender, Holly runs well for his size and has the ability to deliver a big hit. He’s one of the top returning defenders in the North Fulton area and will be a major weapon for the Raiders as a senior in 2024. Last year he made 8 sacks, 57 total tackles and one fumble recovery. He’s earned recent offers from Stanford, West Virginia, Penn State, Texas A&M, among others.
Christian Garrett Christian Garrett 6'4" | 285 lbs | DL Prince Avenue Christian | 2025 State GA – Prince Avenue Christian
One of the top 2025 defensive linemen across Georgia, Garrett is a playmaking interior defensive lineman who can eat up backs in the run game and create pressure on the quarterback. The Athens-area native out of Prince Avenue already has an impressive offer list, but he’s earned new ones recently from Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Stanford, South Florida, Kentucky, Boston College, among others. Leading the Wolverines to a second-consecutive state championship, the big, physical 6-foot-4 275-pounder made 53 total tackles, three sacks and five TFLs. He was a game-changer at times who showed toughness, strength, and the ability to collapse the pocket from the inside. He’s tough to move backwards and can beat most opposing linemen in one-on-one situations in the trenches. He’s a big deal, and more offers are likely on the way.
Ryshawn Perry – Newton
A lean, explosive defensive lineman who can play multiple positions along the defensive line, this Covington native out of Newton High School can blow up any particular play if not blocked correctly. He’s lightning quick off the snap and lived in the backfield all season long in 2023. He flashed easy big-play potential, and after a strong junior season, the 6-foot-3 280-pounder has earned new offers from Ole Miss and Oklahoma. He splits double teams with ease and shows a great motor when running down the ball-carrier. He’s natural strong and has a frame that will allow him to add even more muscle and weight when he gets to the next level. His quickness, toughness, and ability to deliver a big hit is why he’s quickly becoming one of the top overall defenders in the area. His stock is still rising, and more offers could come his way sooner than later.
