The top receiver out of the 3A ranks has already committed to a Big-12 school. However, four of these receivers, to my knowledge, are all still unsigned.
Donald Collier Donald Collier 6'0" | 175 lbs | ATH Trinity Academy | 2024 State KS , WR, 6’0”, 175, Trinity Academy, ‘24
I am betting the future Kansas Jayhawk scored some KU swag for Christman. The Trinity Knights senior unofficially led Class 3A receivers with 65 receptions in nine games played. He had a 1,000-yard season with 90 yards to spare. He scored nine touchdowns giving him a two-year total of 34. Collier had back-to-back seasons finishing with over 1,000 yards gained after gaining 1,710 yards during his junior season on 103 catches.
Jackson Fry Jackson Fry 6'1" | 160 lbs | WR Hesston | 2024 State KS , WR, 6’1”, 170, Hesston, ‘24
Fry is a long receiver. He has a big reach, can jump, and catch the ball at the high point. During his senior season, he caught 51 balls for the Swathers in nine games. He finished with 742 receiving yards and caught eight touchdowns. He plays defensive back for Hesston and he collected 45 total tackles, one interception, and one fumble recovery.
Dezmond Winton Dezmond Winton 5'10" | 160 lbs | ATH Wellsville | 2024 State KS , WR, 5’10”, 150, Wellsville, ‘24
Wellsville had a top quarterback running an explosive offense in 2023 and his favorite target was Winton. The Eagles senior made 46 receptions which were good for 945 yards. In 10 games played for Wellsville, he caught 15 touchdown receptions. Playing as a defensive back he finished with 29 total tackles, three interceptions, and an impressive six pass breakups.
JJ Kendrick, WR, 6’0”, 155, Parsons, ‘24
Kendrick is the next line in this impressive 2024 receiving corps. The Viking senior finished with 45 receptions in 10 games played. He gained 597 yards and caught five balls for touchdowns. What is impressive about his football stats is that he improved every season in the number of catches and yards gained. He has paid his dues, put in work, and is worthy of a look by NAIA and JUCO programs.
Kyle Strother, TE, 6’2”, 185, Santa Fe Trail, ‘24
Strother was a solid pass catcher for the Chargers in 2023. He finished with 41 receptions for 597 yards and seven touchdowns. He has nice hands and is limber for his size. Strother has committed to play baseball at Highland Community College. He plays first base and pitches.
Brody Lee Brody Lee 6'0" | 150 lbs | ATH Wellsville | 2024 State KS , RB, 5’10”, 140, Wellsville, ‘24
A second Wellsville senior finished with a season of 40 receptions. Lee gained 768 yards and scored 11 touchdowns for Wellsville in 10 games. If I was an NAIA recruiting director I would make a run at Lee, Winton, and Wellsville’s quarterback Willie Dorsey Willie Dorsey 6'2" | 170 lbs | QB Wellsville | 2024 State KS and let the three of them eat!
