One of the fastest-rising names in the Midwest is the DE out of Elkhart. Dye checks all the physical boxes and then some. He’s an explosive, twitchy, lengthy athlete who shouldn’t be nearly as dangerous as he is. As strong as he is, he’s equally just as quick. He’s got those sudden movements in short areas and does a good job getting a jump on the snap count. He’s put up a respectable 61 tackles, 5 TFLs, 4 sacks, and 4 forced fumbles while putting himself on the national radar. He’s 6’5″ 250lbs and heading into his Senior year. Dye is built like he’s meant for Sundays, but time will tell if he gets there For now, it’s about where he will play on Saturdays, and the offers are starting to come in. With offers from Georgia, Michigan, USC, Duke, Ball State, and Cincinnati, the ball has started rolling for one of Indiana’s finest.

Nizyi Davis Nizyi Davis 6'6" | 205 lbs | TE Lawrence Central | 2025 State IN – Lawrence Central – TE – 6’6″ 205lbs
Fresh off of a year where he put himself on the map and earned an All-State nod, big things could be heading towards Davis in the near future. The first and most obvious thing is his frame and size. A guy with his size being able to move the way he can isn’t fair for defenders. He’s then got an unbelievable catch radius that allows him to pluck the ball out of the air. We covered Davis about halfway through the season, and since then he’s only skyrocketed everywhere. Putting up 410 yards on 29 receptions and 1 TD while holding down the middle and being as versatile as Davis is, can only help funnel schools your way. The 20 top recruit in Indiana has offers from West Virginia, Liberty, Louisville, and Cincinnati, but that list is only going to continue to grow, especially as valuable and rare elite TEs are.

Cameron Gorin Cameron Gorin 6'5" | 260 lbs | OL Hamilton Southeastern | 2025 State IN – Hamilton Southeastern – OL – 6’5″ 265lbs
Gorin, who could develop into a special player at the next level, is anchoring one of the best offensive lines in the state. He’s got the frame built for the next level and beyond, but more than that, he’s got an aggressive mindset on a football field. It’s almost as if he takes some reps personally and wants to inflict his will on who he’s going against. He’s got no issue driving out and taking his defender completely out of the picture. He’s up and coming in the passing game as well. He’s nimble on his feet, yet is dug into the ground when making contact with a defender. It’s pretty easy to see Gorin and why schools get excited. As for now, his current offers from Ball State, Bowling Green, IU, and Louisville are where he stands as of now.

Carmine Orozco Carmine Orozco 6'4" | 275 lbs | DL Mishawaka | 2025 State IN – Mishawaka – DL – 6’3″ 265lbs
Heading into the season, Carmine was highlighted as a high riser. Here he is again, but this time it’s not just in Indiana he’s turning heads and getting some national attention. I highlighted Orozco back in July because not only did he have a really good sophomore year, but he showed a long list of the traits you look for. Being able to bull rush, come off the edge, and fill gaps in the running game go a long way, and those are areas Orozco thrives. He only built upon his success from last year and has developed his frame even more. He’s now recognized as a 3-star recruit with offers from Boston College, IU, and Toledo. Orozco has earned every stripe along the way, and I’m excited to see where he lands because he continues to get better and better.

Uchenyo Ojata Uchenyo Ojata 6'5" | 210 lbs | ATH Carmel | 2025 State IN – Carmel – DL – 6’5″ 210lbs
If there’s another defensive recruit who has a chance to take the state by storm, it’s Ojata. Not only does he have that rare length and frame, but he’s twitchy and does a great job creating pressure. He wins easily off the line and can get in the backfield. He’s able to disrupt the running game, but it’s not quite a consistent trait yet. He’s developing and getting there, but I believe the long-term potential he’s got is great which is why he’s moving up so high. Being his first-year full-time starting, he put up 26 tackles, 4 TFLs, 2 sacks, 5 hurries, 1 pass deflected, and was in on 2 fumbles. Ojata was highly active and getting that confidence on the field that not only he belongs, but could play at a higher level. I expect big things from Ojata over the next 12 months, which is why he lands here at 43.
