There is still a lot of talent in the state that are still looking to sign and we want you to check out who those prospects are on the defensive side of the ball.
Easton Adamson: DL || 6’3 || Brighton HS || c/o 2024
Adamson is an athletic prospect that plays with bend and burst to play along the LOS. Against the run, he plays with initial quickness to read and react. Strength at the POA to control blocks. Hand speed to recognize and shed blocks to make the tackle. As a pass rusher, he shows burst to get up field and push the pocket as a power rusher. A sure tackler at the LOS. His production has earned him All State honors and has the frame to add size to be a productive interior player.
Ryan Talo: LB || 6’0 || Kearns HS || c/o 2024
Talo is an athletic prospect that has the versatility to both inside and outside linebacker in the Cougar’s 3-4 defensive scheme. Shows initial quickness to read and react. Lateral quickness to move along the LOS. Has burst to get upfield, UOH to make quick contact and accelerate to the QB as a pass rusher. A sure tackler at the LOS and the open field. Talo’s has the frame to add size and be a productive linebacker at the next level.
Hunter Clark Hunter Clark 5'11" | 170 lbs | DB Desert Hills | 2024 State UT : DB || 5’10 || Desert Hills HS || c/o 2024
Clark is an athletic prospect that plays the safety position in the Thunder’s secondary. Has a knack for the football and can make a play when the ball is in the air. A sure tackler in run support. Shows pull away and range to make the play in the open field. Has the ability to stay on the pass catcher’s hip and make the play. Clark’s has the frame to add more size and be a productive safety at the next level.
Fotu Moeai: DB || 6’0 || Skyridge HS || c/o 2024
Moeai is an athletic prospect that plays the safety position in the Falcon’s defense. Shows he can tackle in run support. Shows ball skills to track the ball in the air. Ability to stay on pass catcher’s hip at the LOS.Pull away speed and range to make the tackle in the open field. Has experience playing special teams and was the team’s punt returner. Moeai’s 1st year of playing safety earned him All State honors and a contributor to helping the Falcon’s get to the 6A state championship.
Zion Kongaika Zion Kongaika 5'10" | 280 lbs | DL Mountain View | 2024 State UT : DL || 5’10 || Mountain View HS || c/o 2024
Kongaika is a physical prospect with bend and burst to play along the interior on the Bruin’s defensive line. Against the run, he shows initial quickness to read and react. Strength at the POA to control drive and dbl team blocks. Hand speed to recognize and shed blocks to make the tackle. As a pass rusher, he shows burst to get up field and push the pocket as a power rusher. A sure tackler at the LOS. Kongaika size and movement will allow him to a productive nose guard at the next level.
