In this article, we are going to highlight the prospects that are making recruiting headlines. Over the next few weeks, we will continue to highlight recruiting as well as highlight offseason football camps heating up across the country.
Josiah Rainey Josiah Rainey 6'0" | 155 lbs | DB Sylvan Hills | 2025 State AR -Athlete-Sylvan Hills-2025
The Kansas State coaching staff continue to do a great job of recruiting the Natural State. Josiah Rainey Josiah Rainey 6'0" | 155 lbs | DB Sylvan Hills | 2025 State AR is a versatile prospect that can easily play on both sides of the ball. He has tremendous speed and can hurt opposing defenses lined up at the wide receiver spot on the offensive side of the ball. He has a knack for creating separation from opposing defensive backs. Over the weekend, Rainey had the opportunity to visit the Kansas State campus and coaching staff. He is a player to watch out for in 2024.
Brock Simmons Brock Simmons 6'3" | 280 lbs | OL Harrison | 2024 State AR -Offensive Line-Harrison-2024
Over the past few seasons, the Harrison Goblins have had one of the state’s most talented offensive lines. Simmons has good power and can drive opposing defensive linemen away from the ball carrier. He is a prospect that does a good job of keeping opposing pass rushers at bay. Earlier in the week, Simmons earned a scholarship offer from McPherson College. Simmons is a prospect to watch out for as the early signing period approaches.
Terrance Brown-Quarterback-Jonesboro-2024
Terrance Brown does a great job of using his arm and his legs to keep the opposing defense honest. Brown has the arm strength to stretch the opposing secondary deep. The Jonesboro signal caller is accurate to all areas of the field. He does an impressive job of keeping his eyes down the field before pulling the ball down and scrambling with the football. Brown earned a scholarship offer from McPherson College earlier in the week.
Joshua Smith-Patillo Joshua Smith-Patillo 6'0" | 235 lbs | DL Forrest City | 2024 AR -Tight End-Forrest City-2024
Smith-Patillo is a versatile prospect that has seen playing time on both sides of the ball this season. He has the speed to see playing time at the tight end position. Meanwhile, he is a prospect that does a great job of getting into the opposing offensive backfield. Smith-Patillo has the ability to cause problems for the opposing passing attack as well as the rushing attack. The Forrest City prospect earned a scholarship offer from Central Methodist University earlier in the week.

Kobe Cunningham Kobe Cunningham 6'1" | 210 lbs | QB Fordyce | 2024 State AR is a prospect that has been versatile for Fordyce over the past few years. He is another prospect that can make plays with his arm or his legs. Cunningham throws the ball with accuracy. He is not afraid to use his legs to pick up yards and extend drives. Last week, Cunningham earned scholarships from both McPherson College as well as St. Andrews College. He is a prospect to watch out for at the next level.
