This week, Prep Redzone Scout Drew Johnson will highlight instrumental recruits who have consistently produced this season. As noted frequently, Prep Redzone Florida aims to provide adequate coverage of all athletes for college coaches At All Levels and readers to evaluate. Let’s get into some of the stats, Hudl films, and recent offers from some of the rising recruits in the state of Florida.
Jordan Magwood Jordan Magwood 6'0" | 190 lbs | QB Seffner Christian | 2025 FL | QB | 2025 | Carrollwood Day | @jordanmagwood9
2023 stats: 130/191 – 2177 yards – 22-4 TD/INT
Magwood has shown all doubters that he has the legitimate arm talent and upside for the next level. He’s a developing Dual-Threat and already has that x-factor presence when he takes the field. Natural arm strength, quick decision-making, and accuracy are some positives that stand out in his game. With more improvement in his throwing and footwork mechanics, Magwood could land a significant committable offer before finishing his high school campaign.
Joseph Troupe | RB | 2024 | Berkeley Prep | @JojoTroupe
State championship stats: 23 rushes – 124 yards – 1 TD
This kid is the definition of a DOG! What a way to impact the game and provide a needed second spark in the state championship game for the Buccaneers’ offense that was rolling from the jump. Troupe put his name on the map because of his tough running efforts throughout the game. He earned an offer from FAMU immediately following the win. I’m sure Troupe landed a spot on a college roster just from game film of his state championship performance.
Makih Johnson | WR | Class of 2025 | CAI | @Makihjohnson2
2023 stats:
One of the top rising junior receivers picked up steam during the offseason earning multiple big-time offers following a productive spring-summer showcase and various camp showings. Had a decent junior season but Johnson has all the tools in the box to be a Power 5-Division 1 product with plenty of time to add to his frame.
Recent Offers: USF, UCONN, Toledo, Indiana, WKU, FAU, Iowa State, UTEP
EJ Archield Jr | QB | Class of 2025 | Robinson | @EJArchield
2023 stats: 128-210 – 61% comp – 2019 yards passing – 23 TD | 531 rushing yards – 5 TD
Archield continues to develop and impress. It’s been nice to see him spin it and show off why the buzz around his recruitment is legit. He dominates the 7v7 and camp-like sessions because of his impressive frame combined with good footwork mechanics, arm strength, and ball placement. Archield picked up a big-time offer from Ole Miss in the spring and will look to continue creating buzz around his recruitment heading into the off-season. Still, plenty of time to develop and add to his quarterback bag.
Josh Bellamy | RB | Class of 2025 | Lakeland Christian | @JoshBellamyJr1
2023 stats: 1205 yards – 15 TD
Bellamy has been a playmaker and productive piece for the Vikings so far this season. He’s still slept on in the Polk area despite a nearly 1,000-yard rushing season with double-digit touchdowns. This kid can do it all out of the backfield: running, catching, blocking. It’s the breakaway speed and vision when he gets through the first level that separates him from other recruits.
Dathan Glover | 2025 ATH | Santa Fe Catholic | @7_pingg
2023 stats: 850+ 𝗒𝖺𝗋𝖽𝗌 – 700 𝗋𝖾𝖼𝖾𝗂𝗏𝗂𝗇𝗀 – 10 𝖳𝖣𝖲 – 2 𝖱𝗎𝗌𝗁𝗂𝗇𝗀 TD – 1 𝗉𝗎𝗇𝗍 𝗋𝖾𝗍𝗎𝗋𝗇 – 7 𝗋𝖾𝖼𝖾𝗂𝗏𝗂𝗇𝗀 TD – 2 𝗂𝗇𝗍’s – 6 𝖯𝖡𝖴s – NO 𝖳𝖣’𝗌 𝖺𝗅𝗅𝗈𝗐𝖾𝖽
I’ve watched Glover line up on both sides of the ball and compete at a high level. Decent coverage skills and excels at the receiver position. Plenty of time to develop but I think he will play defensive back at the next level because of his speed, length, and IQ.
Andrew Heidel Andrew Heidel 6'2" | 205 lbs | QB Manatee | 2025 FL | QB | 2025 | Manatee | @AndrewHeidelQB
2023 stats: 206-318 – 2618 yards – 20-6 TD/INT
Really productive season for the 6-2, 190-pound junior who can sling it. Heidel finished with the 3rd most Single-Season yards for his high school while setting the single-game passing record in his junior season. Plenty of upside for the junior with time to work on his game during the off-season.
Maddox Spencer | WR | Class of 2025 | Nease | @MaddoxSpencer14
2023 stats: 68 receptions – 1348 yards – 16 TD
This kid has to be one of the more slept-on WR prospects in the area as he’s finished second in total receiving yards in the state for juniors.
Austin Ho | WR | 2025 | Calvary | @iamaustin1ho
2023 stats: 52 Receptions – 769 Receiving Yards – 924 All Purpose Yards – 13 Touchdowns
