Gerbo is a problem coming off the edge with either his hand in the dirt or standing up. He shoots his hands quickly, locks out blockers and can redirect and chase down ball carriers backside with closing speed and a relentless motor. He is a still developing pass rusher with his technique and hand usage, but wins with leverage, pure power and a heavy hand set at the POA. Very athletic for his size and all of 6’4+, he is only going to continue to grow and develop and will be one of the top defenders NorCal has to offer in the 2026 class down the stretch. Nevada and Washington State have already offered, and he should easily be a 10+ offer FBS kid by the time he makes his college decision.
Highlights
Lewis has been one of the top players across the valley since his Freshman season for Escalon, and helps anchor one of the top small schools in the state across the defensive line. He is another heavy puncher, controls blockers with his hands and wins with leverage, lock out and can toss off blockers with power and a low hat. When pass rushing, he has a nice bull-rush, snatch and can collapse the pocket quickly with closing speed and some range when tracking down ball carriers in the open field. For his size, he is a freaky athlete that can move and never leaves the field as a two-way guy at tight end. Offensively, he is a mismatch nightmare in the slot and red-zone with strong hands and can make contested catches. It is only a matter of time until he gets offered by a FCS+ school, and entering 2024 he will be one of the top players Norcal has in this loaded 2025 class across the defensive line.
Tresor Mulumba
Tresor Mulumba
The 2025 prospect is a true speed edge rusher with a explosive and long first step off the ball, is twitchy with his hands and hips at the POA and can get underneath blockers when collapsing the pocket. Mulumba is another raw prospect but has elite athleticism and is comfortable in space when redirecting and tackling ball carriers behind the LOS while able to win with first step twitch and speed off the edge. In the run game, he uses his long arms to keep blockers off his chest and will only improved upon block recognition as he gets another season under his belt for one of the top teams in the valley. Mulumba’s upside is there, and he is another edge rusher that should gather FCS+ interest this off-season.
