Lone Star Recruiting News and Notes 12-3-23

The last week of November brought with it plenty of recruiting news in the state of Texas. We have reached the point in the week where we get caught up on the recruiting news to pay attention to this week.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Ti'Erick Martin-Wide Receiver-Lancaster-2024</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Lancaster wide receiver is a prospect that has impressive speed. He is able to stretch the field vertically and take the lid off of the opposing defense. Martin has the ability to run smooth underneath routes and give opposing defenses problems. Martin has proven to be a dangerous kick returner on the special teams side of things as well. The talented Lancaster wide receiver placed his commitment to Texas A&amp;M Commerce over the weekend and congratulations go out to him!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='741941' first='Jacob' last='King']-Linebacker-Steele-2024</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='741941' first='Jacob' last='King'] is a linebacker that causes opposing offensive coordinators plenty of headaches. He does an excellent job of getting off of blocks and bringing down the ball carrier. King has the speed to be able to drop back into pass coverage and disrupt the opposing passing game. Meanwhile, he has shown the ability to get into the offensive backfield and shut down the running game. The Steele linebacker earned a scholarship offer from Texas Wesleyan University over the weekend.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Luke Ullrich-Quarterback-Colleyville Heritage-2024</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Luke Ullrich is a signal caller that has impressive athleticism. He is a prospect that can hurt opposing defenses with his arm or his legs. Ullrich throws the football with accuracy and can fit the ball into some small windows. Meanwhile, Ullrich does a great job of making plays with his legs. He is able to extend drives and make opposing defenders miss with his speed. Earlier in the week, Ullrich earned a scholarship offer from the North Texas Mean Green.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='902846' first='Ashten' last='Emory']-Running Back-Rockwall-2024</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='902846' first='Ashten' last='Emory'] does a great job of picking the appropriate rushing lane to run through. He displays good patience and allows the lane to develop before exploding through the hole. Emory is a difficult running back to bring down. He can run through opposing tackles or make a cut and run around the defender. During the course of the week, Emory earned scholarship offers from Abilene Christian and Texas A&amp;M Commerce. He is a prospect to keep an eye as the early signing period approaches.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='286992' first='Braden' last='Blueitt']-Wide Receiver-Colleyville Heritage-2025</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Blueitt does a great job of using his speed and route running abilities to create separation from opposing defensive back. He does a great job working the shorter routes, but he also has the speed to stretch the opposing secondary deep. Blueitt forces opposing defenders to account for him because of the threat he has to take the pass deep. Blueitt earned a scholarship offer from the Tulsa Golden Hurricane earlier in the week.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
