Grading Top Underclassman Receivers
*How I Grade: Total Impact, Big Plays, Route Running, Overall Upside
Jayvan Boggs Jayvan Boggs 6'0" | 180 lbs | WR Cocoa | 2025 State FL | WR | 2025 | Cocoa | @Jayvan_Boggs
2023 stats: 93 receptions – 1493 yards – 23 TD
GRADE: A+
Talk about putting your name on the recruiting map. Boggs has dominated opposing defenses all season, totaling 9 receiving touchdowns in the three games. The recent Ohio State commit is a huge upside wide receiver prospect who was ultra-productive for Cocoa this season.
Winston Watkins Winston Watkins 5'10" | 175 lbs | WR Bradenton IMG Academy | 2025 State FL | WR | 2025 | First Baptist | @winstonwatkins_
2023 stats: 61 receptions – 1170 yards – 13 TD
GRADE: A
One of if not the Top WR prospects in the state has to be on the list because of his immense impact this season and potential upside at the next level.
Jamie Ffrench Jamie Ffrench 6'1" | 175 lbs | WR Jacksonville Mandarin | 2025 State FL | 2025 | Mandarin | @jamieffrenchjr
2023 stats: 62 receptions – 1247 yards – 14 TD
GRADE: A-
Ffrench is just class of 2025 but shined brighter than most of the competition around him. The Alabama WR commit has all the tangibles with plenty of time to develop and add weight to his frame. He also has the speed to take the top off the defense or use his strong hands for contested catches. Just a bright kid with a big-time future ahead.
Vernell Brown III Vernell Brown III 5'11" | 165 lbs | ATH Orlando Jones | 2025 State FL | WR | 2025 | Jones | @VB3_9
2023 stats: 43 receptions, 811 yards, 8 TDs, 90.1 YPG
GRADE: A-
I’ve had the opportunity to scout Brown the past couple of years and watch him develop into a true Power 5 prospect. From competing with one of the top 7v7 teams in the state to dominating with the pads on, the son of former Gators cornerback/wide receiver/returner Vernell Brown Jr is money on the gridiron in his own right. He’s flashed advanced route-running skills & sure hand capabilities for the next level. Just check the film, this kid will be an early production piece for whoever lands his talents.
Isaiah Mizell Isaiah Mizell 6'0" | 175 lbs | WR Orlando Boone | 2025 State FL | WR | Class of 2025 | Boone | @IsaiahMizell
GRADE: B+
The younger brother of Florida Gators WR Aidan Mizell is making a name for himself this junior season with Boone High as he’s recorded 35 receptions for 714 receiving yards and 17 TDs as the regular season concludes.
Dallas Wilson | WR | 2025 | Tampa Bay Tech | @18Dallaswilson
2023 stats: 49 receptions – 872 yards – 9 TD
GRADE: B+
Wilson is one of the Top prospects in his area regardless of position. He has the potential to land on a Power 5 roster and has a big-time off-season period ahead.
Carl Jenkins Carl Jenkins 6'3" | 165 lbs | WR St. Augustine | 2025 FL Jr | WR | 2025 | SAHS | @thecarljenkins
2023 stats: 34 catches, 723 yards, 10 TDs, 90.4 YPG
GRADE: B+
Jenkins has stamped himself as one of the top 2025 WR prospects in the state after earning All-District honors in his junior season. Jenkins is an electric athlete with sticky-glue hands and is a home run threat after the catch. Jenkins has flashed good route-running skills and initial release while using basketball-esque hops to beat defenders mid-air for contested catches. He’s also displayed vapor speed to beat defenders in coverage and is equally lethal in open space. A rising prospect that should be on all Florida universities’ radar.
Blake Wallace | WR | 2025 | Spanish River | @BlakeWallace_14
2023 stats: 55 receptions, 1063 yards, 16 TDs, 118.1 YPG
GRADE: A
Wallace has jumped onto my radar since his 100+ performance in Week One. He’s been a consistent scoring threat all season with nearly 20 total TDs for Spanish River. He’s a big-play playmaker who is dangerous after the catch with good speed and open-field moves. Wallace has a college-ready frame at 6’2, 175 pounds with another year to add weight and develop technique.
Kendall Johnson | ATH | Class of 2025 | ZCA | @KxndallJxhnson
2023 stats: 45 receptions, 778 yards, 15 TDs
GRADE: B+
Johnson led Pasco County in total TDs (15) after another three-score performance in a huge district win. He’s a touchdown machine and provides kicking duties while running the wildcat when needed. A true versatile athlete for ZCA who will be a DOG at the next level.
Maddox Spencer | WR | Class of 2025 | Nease | @MaddoxSpencer14
2023 stats: 68 receptions – 1348 yards – 16 TD
GRADE: A-
This kid has to be one of the more slept-on WR prospects in the area as he’s finished second in total receiving yards in the state for juniors.
Josh Robinson | WR | 2025 | Calvary | @Rob03Black
2023 stats: 52 receptions – 1083 yards – 13 TD
GRADE: B+
Robinson broke Calvary’s single-season reception record in his junior season while showing off his electric big-play ability at 5-9. Plenty of upside for Robinson to create interest around his recruitment.
