Head Coach Cornelius Ingram and his team won for the 25th straight time and 35th in the past 36 games when they beat Madison County 22-13.
This team, which has been dominant for the past three years, parlayed a senior-oriented team to continue building a dynasty.
Over the next few weeks, we will take a look at the 18 schools who headed to Bragg Memorial Stadium in Tallahassee to see if they have enough returning to make another run.
Now, we understand that things are changing again with the structure of the teams within the FHSAA, and know that there will be many players added to the current roster, but as the season finished in 2023, we will take a look at what the roster looks like now for 2024.
Starting with the rising senior (2025) class that gave this program a strong push, there are Jamarion Campbell (DT), Sam Carroll (PK). Two-year starter Jaheim Darby (DL), two-sport (basketball) star and the son of the head coach, who was also an all-state basketball and football player, Cornelius “C.J.” Ingram Jr., (QB).
In addition the rising senior class will have linebacker Naziy Gent, Shawn Goode (OC), versatile Leland Johnson (WR, LB), two-year starter Keenon Johnson Keenon Johnson 5'9" | 175 lbs | RB Hawthorne | 2025 State FL (RB), versatile Zion Johnson (DB), Jiadan King (TE), Jaiden Trengrove Jaiden Trengrove 6'1" | 210 lbs | LB Hawthorne | 2025 FL (DE/LB) and playmaker Jhalon Walker (WR).
The Class of 2026 rising juniors also feature some key returners Darian Bowie (WR/DB), Delvis Eason (DL), Tellis Harris (OL), Kyler Ingram (DE/TE), Loniki Jackson Loniki Jackson 5'10" | 210 lbs | LB Hawthorne | 2026 State FL (RB/LB), Josues Knapp (OL/DL) and offensive lineman Zaraun Sesler.
Keep an eye on emerging sophomores (2027) Gage Blue (OL/DL), Nathan Jennings (QB) and Karsin Mency (OL).
There were some Class of 2028 rising prospects that were ready to make their impact at the varsity level that we will see in 2024.
