Who: Biggersville (11-1) @ Velma Jackson (13-0)
When: 4pm, Thursday November 30th.
What to watch for:
Biggersville
The Lions make no mistake about who they are offensively as it all starts with a stout rushing attack. Jathan Hatch Jathan Hatch 6'1" | 190 lbs | WR Biggersville | 2024 State MS has been a menace at running back thru the year but also stands out on the defensive side. In last week’s north half championship against Vardaman Hatch ran 13 times for 97 yards and a TD but led the defense with 3 interceptions, returning one for a touchdown. The Biggersville offense has been led thru the year by QB Drew Rowsey and averages north of 40PPG. The Lions are unblemished on the year except for a tight loss to 3A Nettleton.
Velma Jackson
Speaking of undefeated on the year, the Falcons of Velma Jackson are just that and they’ve done it thru their explosive offense which averages just shy of 50PPG. QB Terrelle Smith and RB Gavin Griffin Gavin Griffin 5'10" | 185 lbs | RB Velma Jackson | 2024 State MS have steered the ship for the boys from Camden in 2023. It has truly been a dynamic year for the Falcons as they have outscored opponents 622-68 and have done so against a schedule that provided no slouches, espeically in the non-division slate.
Key to the game:
Can anyone get a stop? Both teams have played well defensively in 2023, but they both hang their hats on elite offense.
