Dylan McGrinn-LB-Bowdon
The 5’10 180 MLB is an absolute playmaker in the middle. Has 133 TT through the QFs for the defending State Champion Red Devils, tying a school record that will be broken this Friday v Schley Co in the Semifinal. What sets him apart is his vision. He quickly recognizes plays and has a good 1st step and acceleration to the ball carrier. Strong kid that fights through blocks by bigger OL. Was just awarded Region 7A D2 DPOY. We look for him to add to his record setting performance next season for the Red Devils. A guy to watch this Camp season.
Kade Smith-QB-Trion
The 5’10 175 3 year starter had an outstanding Junior campaign throwing for 1800 yards and rushing for close to 600 yards for the 10-0 Trion Bulldogs. Smith is comfortable in the pocket and reads defenses well with quick decision-making ability. Has the wheels and mobility to move around and is a threat to tuck and run if the play breaks down. Has good touch on the long pass and the arm strength to zip the short passes to the sidelines and on the slants. Will be entering his 4th year as a starter next season for the Bulldogs in what has been a historic 3 year for Trion. One to watch this offseason.
Carter Triplett-QB-Christian Heritage
This guy has the size/strength/athleticism to play at the next level. The 6’4 215 QB had an outstanding Junior campaign with 2800 total yards and 30 TDs for the Lions. Big bodied kid that is not afraid to stand in the pocket. Has good footwork and arm motion that gets the ball out fast. Is a threat to tuck and run and has good speed for his size. Harder worker in the weight room and in the classroom. Has already picked up FCS interest and will be one to keep on your radar this offseason.
Zayden Cook-RB-Chattooga
The 5’11 181 RB is a guy we predicted to have a breakout season this year after seeing him at the Shorter Camp this past summer. Good athletic build with speed. Was timed at 4.56 in the 40 yard dash this Summer on campus. Good acceleration with breakaway speed. Had over 1400 yards this season for the Indians. Multisport athlete that placed 3rd last Spring in the 110m hurdles. Next level potential.
Logan Stokes-TE/DE-Trion
Stokes has the one thing you can’t teach, size. The 6’4 230 TE/DE was another kid we saw at the Shorter Camp this Summer. Ran a 4.68 40 yard dash and showed a lot of agility in the drills. Tough, aggressive guy that loves to block and tackle. Has good hands at the WR spot and knows how to use his size to gain leverage against smaller DBs. Multisport athlete that also excels on the basketball court and on the diamond. Definite next level player that will see his recruitment pick up this offseason.
