Reminder for the postseason: Because of the shift from five classifications (Class 1A, 2A, 3A, 4A and 5A) in the regular season to eight divisions (Division IV, III, II and I on both the “Select” and “Non-Select” sides) in the postseason, we’ve adjusted our “small schools” list to include both Division III’s and IV’s and our “large schools” list to include both Division I’s and II’s.

The junior safety scored the first touchdown of his Skippers’ 42-21 upset of No. 5 St. Amant on a 35-yard interception return and later added a second pick to help the team on to the Division-I Non-Select quarterfinals.

Broussard was one of a couple Cecilia standouts to make this list for his performance in the 70-30 rout of Iota with his 203 yards and six touchdowns on 17 carries to punch the Bulldogs’ ticket to the Division-II Non-Select quarters.

Another Catholic League quarterback who played big to lead his team to a series sweep of a district rival, Canatella completed 12 of 17 passes for 200 yards and three touchdowns and rushed eight times for 72 yards and another score in the 42-0 defeat of Jesuit en route to the Division-I Select quarters.

The sophomore rushed for 97 yards and three touchdowns on 15 attempts to help lead the Wolves past Tioga, 38-14, on to the Division-I Select quarterfinals.

Esprit racked up 15 tackles and forced a fumble in the Tigers’ 14-0 upset of West Feliciana to earn a spot in the Division-II Non-Select quarterfinals.

Evans caught eight passes for 166 yards and two touchdowns to help lead the Wildcats’ offense in a 28-2 at Northshore to earn the program’s first-ever quarterfinal berth.

The No. 11 Roneagles upset No. 6 St. Louis Catholic in Lake Charles, 53-23, behind their senior quarterback’s balanced performance of 11-for-17 passing for 168 yards and three touchdowns and another 162 yards and a score on 11 rushes to advance to the Division-II Select quarterfinals.
