That said, I have not stopped tracking our top prospects and their college offer or commitment status dating all the way back to August. Below are a handful of noteworthy prospects and their recruiting status updates. Congrats to this group of talented players and their families!
There is much to be thankful for around Seton Hall Prep this time of year – particularly for the Dunn family. Tyler Dunn Tyler Dunn 6’5″ | 280 lbs | OL Seton Hall Prep | 2024 NJ , who completed in the Non-public Group A semifinal this weekend, made his big announcement earlier this month. Westfield has been one of the model public school programs under Coach Jim DeSarno’s stewardship. This tradition continues as year-after-year the Blue Devils are a pipeline of college prospects who play the game the right way. Receiver Peter Del Re Peter Del Re 6’0″ | 170 lbs | WR Westfield | 2024 NJ embodies, and continues what could be considered at this point, that tradition. In early November, Del Re announced that he will be heading to Union College to play for the Chargers upon graduating high school.
The recruitment of Benny Sasso Benny Sasso 6’3″ | 275 lbs | OL Wall | 2024 NJ came and went rather swiftly. A standout for Wall, the offensive guard announced his first offer from Wagner back in June. However, as the season progressed in October he picked up his second offer – this one from Columbia – to which he committed to about a week later.
Another enormous linemen came off the boarrd recently in Jake Macce Jake Macce 6’4″ | 275 lbs | OL Delbarton | 2024 NJ . Standing at 6’5″ 275lbs with an 80 inch wingspan, he has the strength to drive defenders, as well as the size to keep them at bay. After receiving several FCS and low-FBC caliber offers from schools such as Richmond, Cornell, Bucknell, Columbia, William & Mary, Bryant, Old Dominion, Holy Cross, Colgate, Fordham, Eastern Michigan, Lafayette, Maine, Lehigh, UPenn, and countless others, Macce selected the “prove-it” route. Macce received, and accepted, a Preferred Walk-On commitment with the Duke Blue Devils.
