Other notes: Many’s early-round playoff dominance carried over under new coach Dillon Barrett, previously of Grant Parish, as he succeeds longtime coach Jess Curtis, now at Natchitoches Central. The Tigers rolled Springfield, 61-0, to mark their fifth straight first-round shutout in the past seven years, all coming in wins of 49-0 or better. Many earned a first-round bye last since before blanking Richwood, 21-0, and advanced to the quarterfinals in 2020 on back-to-back opponent forfeits on their way to a state title. The program has reached at least the semifinals each year since 2016.
