Stockbridge at Benedictine
Stockbrige is coming into this major 4A final four at an impressive 11-2 with all 11 wins coming after their first two losses to start the season. They’ve got an excellent rushing attack led by senior Jayden Scott Jayden Scott 5'10" | 190 lbs | RB Stockbridge | 2024 State GA who has rushed for 2,000 yards and 35 touchdowns. As a team, they’ve rushed for 58 touchdowns and over 3,800 yards through the season, averaging just under 300 yards per game. They’ve scored at least 35 points in nine of their 11 wins this season, and a lot of that success is due to their dominance on the ground. Defensively, the Tigers have recorded five shutouts on the season and have held seven opponents to less that 10 points. They’ve been one of the best teams in the area regardless of class, and they’ll need to be at their best to beat a top Benedictine program on the road.
The Cadets are a program that wins. They do it as well as anyone across the state in all classifications. They are defending back-to-back state champions and have put themselves in an excellent position for a three-peat. Led by four-star prospect and Florida State commitment Luke Kromenhoek Luke Kromenhoek 6'4" | 185 lbs | QB Benedictine Military | 2024 State GA , the Cadets are 13-0 and have scored at least 31 points in their last five games. They’ve won some tough, close games early in the season, and it’s allowed them to grow as a team throughout the fall. They’e sound defensively, and have quickly become one of the most consistent and dominant programs in the state. They play, sound, physical, disciplined football, and they have a chance to do something real special this season if they keep playing the way they have for the last few weeks.
Stars Mill at Perry
The Star’s Mill Panthers are playing their best football at the right time. At 10-3, they’ve won they’re last seven games and appear to be playing the best they have all season. They’ve been sound defensively with three shutouts in that seven game stretch. Offensively, they run the ball effectively and have multiple backs who can help carry the load. Together they’ve combined for over 2,300 yards and 33 touchdowns. They have defenders in the secondary who can make plays on the ball, and right now, they’re just playing good football.
Like Stars Mill, the Perry Panthers are also playing great football at just the right time. At 11-2, Perry has won their last four games and has looked good doing it. They’ve shown the can win high-scoring games as well as close, tight games. They’re coming off a big 34-20 win over Stephenson and appear to be playing their best when it matters most.
