As many of these gifted prospects will appear in the state championship series, they will start to get the recruiting momentum going during the off-season – at camps, combines and other events held to showcase talent.
As we continue to bring you football talent in every class here at Prep Redzone Florida, our objective as a recruiting team is to bring you as many prospects for you to check out as possible.
While rankings are interesting to some, it’s the ability to watch these players live that will ultimately provide the definitive information needed for colleges and universities to show interest.
Today, we take a look at some of that first-year talent who has already started to leave an impression.
Arwin Jackson Arwin Jackson RB FL , RB, 5-9, 170, Hollywood Chaminade-Madonna. On a program that has more than its share of nationally rated talent, having a freshman make an impact is not the norm. But the Lions have used this impressive talent during a year that the Lions are currently rated No. 2 nationally. This is indeed one of those backs who is only going to get bigger and more mature. Someone to keep that talent train moving in south Florida.
Joaquin Kavouklis, QB, 6-1, 181, Clearwater Academy International. For those who have had the pleasure of watching this gifted prospect perform, they are bowled over by the many things he does. His maturity level is amazing as he showed against talented teams such as Lakeland. His ability to stand in the pocket with confidence and deliver short, intermediate, and long passes is something that often takes years to perfect. In addition to what he brings to the playing field, his 3.8 GPA in the classroom is a huge addition to what he brings to the table. He has a very bright future.
Davy Murphy, WR/LB, 5-11, 170, Windermere. No matter what side of the ball you line him up at, here is certainly on everyone’s watch list. A possession receiver on offense, his speed is deceptive, and his skill level is indeed something that will continue to open eyes this off season. On the defensive side of the ball, you can see his ability to make plays – whether it’s inside or outside. The only thing that will dictate where he ends up performing is his growth and maturity.
Makael Williams Makael Williams 5'9" | 170 lbs | RB Pace | 2026 FL , RB, 5-9, 165, Pace. From the start of the season, here is someone that everyone in the region talked about. For a ninth grader, this quality talent has already shown that he will be one of the best in the state over the next three seasons. He has tremendous vision, is athletic and is an impact player. On a team loaded with outstanding prospects, here is one who has a chance to be special.
Landon Wolny, TE/WR, 6-3, 190, Naples First Baptist. When you watch this gifted young man play, it’s amazing to think that he is just a freshman. He is indeed someone who has helped to raise the bar for the defending 1S state champions. While he is young and has the size, many believe that when all is said and done, this could be a tight end. He runs well, gets open and his knowledge of the game is way beyond his years. Keep an eye on this quality talent in the off season and beyond.
