With playoff games in full swing, these talented young athletes are not only focused on winning but also on choosing a college program that aligns with their goals and aspirations. As they weigh their options, these seniors will be looking for a program that offers the perfect balance of academics and athletics, a supportive coaching staff, and a team culture that fosters growth and development. As the evaluation process continues, several promising prospects remain available for consideration. Let’s take a closer look at some of the top wide receiver prospects that college coaches should keep an eye on.
Isaiah Riggins | WR | 2024 | Wiregrass | @isaiahriggins3
2023 stats: 93 receptions – 1586 yards – 16 TD
Analysis: Riggins has put his name on the map this season as a true production piece that can make an impact at the D1 level. Riggins became just the 10th Pasco County student-athlete to have 1,000+ receiving yards in a single season. He’s electric in the slot, beating defensive backs with initial quickness and slick route running. Riggins helped his 2024 QB Luke Knight to a record-breaking season, as he reached 3,000 regular-season passing yards in just nine games. A video game-like duo this season for Wiregrass with still games left on the schedule.
Michael Key Michael Key 6'0" | 195 lbs | WR Sanford Seminole | 2024 FL | Class of 2024 | Seminole | @michaelkey711
2023 stats: 41 receptions – 620 yards – 10 TD
Analysis: Key is overall a dominant athlete who excels at the receiver position for Seminole HS. I really like Key’s game and his ability to be a star in his own right while playing alongside FSU WR enrollee Goldie Lawrence last season. Key was able to put together solid junior numbers, accumulating 37 receptions for 760 yards and 12 TD. Standing at 6 feet, 200-pounds, Key has true playmaker potential because of his decent speed to take the top of defenders or good hand-eye coordination to bring down circus catches. He holds offers from various schools including USF, Pittsburgh, Mississippi State, and Iowa State. College coaches in the state of Florida should get familiar with Key and his potential upside.
Jamar Taylor Jr Jamar Taylor Jr 6'1" | 205 lbs | WR Lakeland | 2024 FL . | WR | 2024 | Lakeland | @JamarTaylorJr1
2023 stats: 37 receptions – 524 yards – 5 TD
Taylor looks like he’s put on a size to his already college-ready frame but still moves with slickness and smoothness when he runs routes. He has been one of the top WR prospects in the area because of his bag of skills. Has potential Power 5 ability with time left to generate buzz with production in the playoffs.
Braylon Knauth | ATH | 2024 | Lake Minneola |
2023 stats: 59 receptions – 948 yards – 9 TD
Analysis: Track speed. Versatility. Leadership. These are some of the qualities Knauth has shown off this year as a start for Lake Minneola’s offense. This kid made some big-time plays this season and it’s no doubt he can produce at the next level. College coaches, check the film.
CJ Bragg CJ Bragg 5'11" | 170 lbs | ATH Cocoa | 2024 FL | WR | 2024 | Cocoa | @CJBragg6
2023 stats: 65 receptions – 923 yards – 6 TD
Analysis: Bragg has put the work in since the off-season and it’s nice to see him put it all together and help his squad to a successful season. Not sure how he continues to be overlooked as he’s second on the team in total receiving yards while flashing slick route running and sure hands. He can provide for many FCS/NAIA colleges in the state of Florida who are missing out on a production piece.
Kordell Lewis | WR | 2024 Lake Gibson | @kordell_lewis
2023 stats: 26 receptions – 445 yards – 6 TD – 638 All Purpose yards
Another Polk County production piece that has been slept on but starting to see some college offers roll in. Lewis is a long and athletic product with blazing speed combined with sure hands and a developing route running bag. Really impressed with his ability to just run by opposing defenders and finish big-play catches against talented competition. Look out for his name to pop even more during the off-season.
Julian Nasco | WR | 2024 | Toho | @NascoJulian
Analysis: What a productive year it’s been for senior Julian Nasco. He set school and county records for: Receptions in a game (13), Receptions in a season (90), Receiving yards in a season (1274 yards), and Receiving TDs in a season (13). Decent upside and skill sets to compete at the next level.
Carson Hinshaw | WR | 2024 | Lake Mary | @carsonhinshaw3
2023 stats: 60 receptions, 961 yards, 19 TDs
Analysis: Hinshaw has the most total receiving touchdowns on the list with nearly 20 total this season! He’s developed into a true production piece for Lake Mary’s offense and has generated some interest in his college recruitment with video game-like numbers. A sleeper receiver that can be a Game Changer for an FCS/DII program.
Best of the Rest:
Evan Van Dyke | WR | 2024 | Winter Park | @EvanVanDyke
2023 stats: 25 receptions, 547 yards, 6 TD, 91.2 YPG
