In this article, I will be discussing the bottom half of the bracket, as I have already provided a preview of the top half of the bracket in a separate piece. Who will advance to the 5A semifinals?
#6 Hillsboro (8-2) @ #3 Mountain View (10-0)
Prediction: Mountain View def. Hillsboro 45-21.
Mountain View has not been defeated in ten weeks this season, and I believe they will make it eleven straight this week. They are a great all-around team that can beat you both on the ground and through the air. Their stifling defense will make it difficult for their opponents to score points. Hillsboro has had a great season and should be proud of what they have accomplished, but traveling down to Bend to face this undefeated Mountain View squad does not seem a recipe for success. I believe Mountain View will take care of business and roll on to the semifinals.

#7 West Albany (8-2) @ #2 Silverton (10-0)
Prediction: Silverton def. West Albany 42-28.
Considering the playoff atmosphere, there is a strong feeling that the upcoming game will be a close one. It’s worth noting that Silverton has remained undefeated this season, but West Albany is determined to change that. In their previous game during week 7, the Bulldogs managed to keep up with the Foxes in the first half, but unfortunately, they struggled against Silverton’s offensive prowess. The scoreline is predicted to be similar to the previous game, with West Albany adding one more score and Silverton scoring one less. Ultimately, the Sawyer Teeney Sawyer Teeney 6'0" | 185 lbs | QB Silverton | 2025 State OR -led offense will decide for Silverton’s victory.
