Doing these analyses allows me to spotlight a lot of players. There are a lot of young talented prospects and several sleeper prospects that could start getting looks for the next level. Prep Redzone Florida will always promote everybody in hopes of them getting the opportunity of playing college football at the next level.
Alberto Mendoza Alberto Mendoza 6'2" | 175 lbs | QB Miami Christopher Columbus | 2024 FL – Columbus High c/o 24
6’3 186lbs
Mendoza is a 3 star prospect and one of the best quarterbacks in the South Florida area. Mendoza has led the Explorers to an 11-2 record and will take on Plant High this Friday in the State Semifinals! Mendoza led the the district in passing throwing for 1950 yards, completing 71%, with 22 touchdowns.
He also rushed for 319 yards. He is currently committed to James Madison University.
Strengths:
Smooth throwing stroke
Very accurate at all 3-levels
Plays with poise
Jordan Lleo- Doral Academy c/o 26
Lleo was a first year starter for Doral Academy and really played well leading then to a 5-5 record and into the State playoffs where they lost to Palmetto High in the first round. Lleo finished second in the district throwing 1553 yards, completed 60% of his passes with 13 touchdowns. He’s a quarterback to keep an eye on heading into the spring.

Very accurate throwing on the run
Processes quickly
Accurate deep ball thrower
Rudolph Jones Jr.- Miami High c/o 25
5’10 170lbs
Jones is a rising junior prospect in the district and player to keep an eye on next season. Jones finished third in the district throwing for 1087 yards, completing 55%, with 8 touchdowns. He rushed for 92 yards and a touchdown.
Strengths:
Quick release
1st and 2nd level accuracy
Despite height still finds passing lanes and can fit the ball through tight windows
Eric Mejia- Goleman High c/o 24
5’10 180lbs
Mejia stepped up and led the Gators this season to a 5-6 record and a berth in the State playoffs where they lost in the first round to a really good Columbus High team. Mejia finished fourth in the district throwing for 766 yards, completed 43% with 7 touchdowns.
Strengths:
Throws with good timing and touch
Ability to make plays with his legs
Good ball placement on deep throws
