Collin Jones Collin Jones 5'10" | 200 lbs | LB Heritage Christian | 2024 State IN – Heritage Christian – LB – 5’10” 200lbs
Jones remains 1 of my favorite LBs still on the open market. He’s a tough, physical, and high-IQ player who makes play after play. He’s the leader of the defense and does a great job with having command. This season more than ever, he was anticipating plays and cutting off the offense’s lifeline. It was by far his most productive season in the backfield, likely because they finally let him loose. On the year Jones put up 100 tackles, 26 TFLs, 12.5 sacks, 4 forced fumbles, and 2 passes deflected. I know schools everywhere want 6’+ LBs, but man, if you want a guy who can play at a high level and doesn’t let any excuses get in the way, then Jones is your guy. If I was still coaching collegiately, I’d be kicking down Jones’s door and camping out front to get him on my team. Some guys just make defenses better, and Jones will 100% be one of those guys.

Damiun Jackson Damiun Jackson 6'5" | 230 lbs | DL Bishop Luers | 2024 State IN – Bishop Luers – DL – 6’5″ 230lbs
Jackson needs a big sign over his head that says “Your Defensive Future Is Here,” because he’s an absolute animal. There’s a reason Luers just won the state title, and having a freakazoid you can send after the QB is a pretty big advantage. He’s explosive off of the line and does a great job using his hands. He’s able to swim his arm through when looking to go under and around. He’s got the power to bullrush when needed and then has the length to reach multiple gaps and close off open running lanes. This season he put up 81 tackles, 26 TFLs, 9.5 sacks, 10 hurries, 5 forced fumbles, 8 passes deflected, and blocked a FG. Some guys are just absolute freaks, and Jackson fits that category. How he’s not highly regarded throughout the state is beyond me, because he just helped win a state championship while putting together one of the most impressive seasons out of any defensive player in the state.

Roland Tremble Roland Tremble 6'3" | 300 lbs | DL Mt. Vernon | 2024 State IN – Mt. Vernon – OL/DL – 6’3″ 290lbs
Tremlbe is someone I’ve always thought highly of. The way he works, the way he pursues things, and the way he’s developed on the field all point to great things ahead. He’s got experience up front on the offensive and defensive lines. You could argue he’s got a future on either side of the ball, too. Offensively, he’s a nimble athlete for his size and is great when going on the move. His hand placement is good and he doesn’t get caught being lazy or not gaining enough depth in passing situations. He’s always come across as a guy who knows what to do and when to do it, which has always helped him make plays on the field. Defensively this year he put up 23 tackles, 3 TFLs, 2 sacks, and 1 pass deflected in the middle of the line. Tremble was as good as anyone this year helping plug up the run and closing gaps before the back could hit them. Tremble will always be himself and is confident in who he is and what he can do. A small thing sure, but something I like to help him long-term as he reaches his new home at the next level.
