Throughout the week following Friday HS Football Game Day, Prep Redzone scout Drew Johnson will be highlighting some of the standouts and notable performances from the weekend and we will now be listing Lineman Standouts. Teams around the state kicked off week six and there were certainly some Notable Standouts to note.
Note: If you feel we missed a prospect or have a notable prospect that is worth mentioning, DM me @RealNews102.
Frederick Hinton Frederick Hinton 6'5" | 305 lbs | OL Bradenton IMG Academy | 2024 FL | OT | 2024 | IMG | @fredavelle
6’6, 292
Hinton picked up about 6 offers following a summer camp and seemed to get attention from just about every coach. He’s a behemoth of a lineman product that needs to be on the radar of the majority of college coaches in Florida.
Davontae Kendrick | OG | 2024 | Lakeland | @davonta11747491
6’4, 360
Kendrick has been a dominant figure on Lakeland’s offensive line which features multiple running backs. He’s a fearful sight for some HS defensive linemen because of his sheer size and get-off explosiveness. It’s not just the size but his technique has developed as well. He has decent bend and can get out to block second-level players.
Ben Beymer Ben Beymer 6'8" | 290 lbs | OL Lakeland | 2025 State FL | OL | 2025 | Lakeland | @BenBeymer
6’8, 290
Beymer made the move over to Lakeland High for his junior season where he’s flashed on tape as a developing tackle prospect that has the tools in the box to work and become a true D1 prospect. He’s the tallest lineman on the list that fits the college look but once he works more on his bend and hands, his upside will be through the roof.
Tristan Black | OL | 2024 | Lake Gibson | @Tristanblack111
6’6, 270
Another tackle prospect on the list has been moved around the offensive line this season for Lake Gibson. He’s a confident player who plays with his heart on his sleeve. He has a college-ready frame combined with a decent technique. He also has to work on his stance and bend ability which are areas he’ll need to work on to produce at the next level.
Oakleaf Big Three
Quory Ambrose Quory Ambrose 6'1" | 250 lbs | DL Andrew Jackson | 2024 FL | 2024 | Oakleaf | @brosethealbum
6’1, 280
Akeem Neal Akeem Neal 6'4" | 305 lbs | OL Orange Park Oakleaf | 2024 FL | 2024 | Oakleaf | @AkeemNeal2024
6’4, 290
Christopher Jules | OL | 2026 | Oakleaf | @Bigchris2008
6’2, 240
Sam Ballentine Sam Ballentine 6'4" | 290 lbs | OL Hagerty | 2024 FL | OL | 2024 | Hagerty | @sam_ballentine
6’4, 275
Ballentine is a versatile product on the offensive line that can be shifted around to fulfill different roles. He pops as a developing guard for the next level who has a decent base he uses to explode on 3-tech and other opposing defenders.
Best of the Rest:
Trenton Hayes Trenton Hayes 6'3" | 260 lbs | OL Nature Coast Tech | 2024 FL | OL | 2024 | Springstead | @TrentonHayes15
6’3, 280
This kid is a beast and pancake machine with a good frame and the DOG mentality you want from your offensive line.
Kurt Armstrong Kurt Armstrong 6'4" | 335 lbs | OL Baker | 2024 FL | OL | 2024 | Baker High | @KurtArmstrong23
6’4, 335
Dominic Sorrentino Dominic Sorrentino 6'4" | 270 lbs | OL Lake Mary | 2025 FL | OL | 2025 | Lake Mary | @DominicS2025
