Without any further ado, here’s my list of some of the top standouts in Kentucky to watch out for in week eight.
Highlights
At the top of my list of notable performers is Deuce Bailey Deuce Bailey 6'1" | 170 lbs | QB Bowling Green | 2025 State KY , a 6-foot-1, 170-pound quarterback at Bowling Green High School. What makes Bailey so efficient at the helm of the Purples’ offense is his quick execution, ability to escape pressure and his ability to advance offensive production on the ground. Bailey also contributes an outstanding effort in the air, showing off excellent composure under center, solid arm strength and pin-point accuracy on deep passes. With a mountain of touchdowns and consistent explosiveness, Bailey is one of the top gunslingers in the state and should not be slept on as the season continues.

I am additionally impressed with Andrew Vrbancic Andrew Vrbancic 6'3" | 220 lbs | TE Louisville Male | 2025 State KY , a 6-foot-3, 215-pound tight end at Louisville Male High School. What stands out most about Vrbancic is his size, speed and physical edge, showcasing his ability to block the defense and absorb heavy pressure at the line of scrimmage. Vrbancic has proven that he can blast the defense to the ground off the snap and open up running room for the Bulldogs’ offense. Vrbancic also adds strength down the stretch, locking down the backfield to help his quarterback secure a strong deep pass down the field. With excellent versatility and toughness, Vrbancic is certainly a prospect to watch more closely as the season continues.

Claiming the number three spot on my list is JD Crump, a 6-foot-2, 205-pound athlete at Hart County High School. Hart impresses me with the Raiders due to his ability to make plays on both sides of the ball, proving his strong athleticism and football knowledge. In addition to his ability to barrel through the defense in the pocket and along the edge, Crump can quickly challenge the defense off the snap, get to the quarterback and force bad throws. Another aspect of Crump that caught my attention is his breakaway speed, creating issues for opposing defenses with his ability to muscle his way into the backfield. Crump is definitely worth watching this season.

Another skilled prospect to watch for is Jaylen Bass Jaylen Bass 5'10" | 270 lbs | OL Mayfield | 2024 KY , a 5-foot-10, 270-pound offensive lineman at Mayfield High School. With great size, speed and physicality on the line, Bass stands out with his ability to contain pressure and exert overwhelming strength. What I like about Bass is his quick execution, ability to spot the blitz and his ability to quickly draw the defense away from his quarterback. Bass also impresses with his consistent use of his arms to knock players around in the pocket, stunning defenders and closing off defensive playmakers from easy sacks. With a commanding presence on the Cardinals’ offensive line, Bass is definitely worth watching out for as the season progresses.
Dominique Anthony
Dominique Anthony
Coming in at number five on my list is Dominique Anthony, a 6-foot-0, 161-pound athlete at Warren Central High School. What stands out the most about Anthony is his undeniable athletic edge and ability to contribute just about anywhere on the field. Anthony has showcased his ability to complete some solid passes at the helm of the Dragons’ offense, advance production on the ground and create a number of issues for opposing offenses on the defensive side of the ball. Under center, Anthony stands out with his ability to hit his receivers in stride and get the ball out of his hands before contact. On the defensive end, Anthony impresses me with his ability to hit the defense hard and force turnovers. Anthony is a high-level prospect to watch for the remainder of the season.
