Continue ReadingAs we head towards the last few weeks of the season, we will be taking a look at prospects that have seen their stock rise over this fall. Some of these prospects may be players that we may have previously known about, some may be new names to us as well. Either way, over the next week or so, I’ll be taking a look at stock risers within District 4 starting with a handful of names today.
LB Logan Bastian Logan Bastian 5'10" | 165 lbs | LB Loyalsock Township | 2024 State PA (@LoganBastian_)
54 tackles, 14.0 TFL, 4.0 Sacks, 1 INT, 1 FR
Bastian has been a very good prospect within District 4 for several years now but his senior year has been his most impressive yet. The 5-foot-10, 180-pound athlete has been great on the defensive side of the ball for Loyalsock this season, showing off his athleticism, football intelligence, abilities to read and react, and more. He’s been dominant in getting into the backfield and tracking down ball carriers for tackles for loss.
2025 FS Bo Sheptock Bo Sheptock 5'10" | 165 lbs | ATH Berwick | 2025 State PA (@sheptock_bo)
53 tackles, 1.0 TFL, 2 INT; 467 rushing yards, 7 TD
Sheptock is a well-known name in District 4 and is someone that we probably should talk about more. He was an All-Area Defensive Back last year as a sophomore and he’s been great as a junior for Danville so far this season. Good size at 5-foot-11, 170 pounds, and is a good athlete as well with a 4.57 fort-yard dash (laser time). Every time I hear or talk about Sheptock with others, it’s only good things. People are always talking extremely highly of the Danville safety and I expect him to be a stock riser once again this fall. Definitely FCS talent but could potentially continue to rise into a Group of Five talent.
2026 ATH Bo Sechrist (@bosechrist1)
52 tackles, 7.0 TFL, 1.0 Sack, 2 INT, 2 PD, 1 FR, 2 FF
Unfortunately, there is not much tape available on Bo. I hope that changes soon but I’ve heard a ton of good things about Sechrist this season. The 5-foot-10, 182-pound athlete plays both running back and linebacker for Jersey Shore. The sophomore is a quality athlete by all accounts and is well-built as well. He’s someone that we’re going to be looking to get a closer look at in the upcoming months. Potential FCS talent here.
2024 LB Maddox Reed (@maddox2reed)
52 Tackles, 6.0 TFL, 2.5 Sacks
The Mount Carmel athlete is a name that I have heard quite a few times over the last year or so and I keep hearing very good things about the 5-foot-10, 180-pound athlete. He’s a quality athlete, he’s not going to beat you with blazing speed but he has good football IQ and vision that allows him to make up for any lack of speed (4.85 forty-yard dash, 4.33 shuttle). Plays a very good middle linebacker position for Mount Carmel but at the next level probably better projects as a safety based on his build. Reed plays great against the run, he doesn’t have a ton of highlights in pass coverage but of what there is, he does a good job in that aspect of his game as well. Not a kid who is going to blow you away physically but overall a quality player with good fundamentals and football IQ. Projects well to a Division II or Division III prospect at the college level.
2026 DE Maxim Johnson
49 tackles, 17.5 TFL, 9.0 Sacks
The 6-foot-4, Maxim Johnson is a dominant defensive end for Line Mountain. He only weighs a reported 190 pounds but is someone whose pure size raises an eyebrow. Elite size to go along with very good strength and athleticism. There isn’t any updated tape yet for Johnson for this season but you could see the flashes for him as a true freshman, he at times has a great burst to his game, getting into the backfield before the quarterback or running back can blink. He’s not afraid to be physical and plays well against both the run and the pass rush. Really intriguing prospect that I think coaches need to start taking a close look at. There are things that will have to be worked on but the upside here is quite intriguing.
