Thomas County Central
The big-time program from Thomasville continues to shine and win games week after week. Led by an outstanding defense that has shutout three of their last four opponents, the Yellow Jackets are coming off an emotional win over Lee County who became the first team all season to really give TCC a fight. The Jackets have been blowing teams out all season long, winning six games by 35+ points. They are tough and physical defensively, but they also know how to score, scoring at least 38 points in every game but one this year. They’re having one of the best seasons in school history and have done a lot of damage on the ground, rushing for 160 yards a game. They have their sights on a state championship the way they’re playing so far.
Colquitt County
The top overall program in South Georgia, the Packers are playing excellent football and are coming for the 7A title this season. They have some explosive, game-changing type of players who are playing great football right now. They have a veteran, experienced team that wants to end their high school career with a championship. Their defense will give up some points, but offensively, they know how to score in bunched. The Packers have scored at least 37 points in every game this fall while scoring at least 40 points in seven games this season. They made a deep playoff run last year, but look for the Packers to make a serious run again this season as well.
Coffee
A major 5A program who has found to win every game so far this fall, the Trojans are playing their best football down the stretch and playing with confidence. They’re won their last four games by 34+ points and have only given up 13 total points in those four games with two shutouts. They play sound, fundamental football and do it with toughness and physicality. They’re an excellent team on the ground led by Fred Brown and his 1,434 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns. They wear teams down, and when you play dominant defense, it’s easy to blow teams away. They’ve made it look easy and look to be playing better with the playoffs quickly approaching.
Benedictine
The dominant program from Savannah is ready to defend their 4A crown this year, and they have a great shot at doing it. They aren’t dominant defensively, but this is a team that knows how to win. They’ve won some tough, close games this year and have shown the ability to fight through adversity. They make plays with the game on the line and have one of the state’s best quarterbacks leading the way in Florida State commitment, Luke Kromenhoek Luke Kromenhoek 6'4" | 185 lbs | QB Benedictine Military | 2024 State GA . He knows how to lead, he’s safe with the football, and has a big arm that allows him to push the ball down the field. They can still play better, and that’s a scary thought. All they do is win, and they have a chance to win the final game of the season once again this fall.
