Offensive Player of the Week
It’s been a quiet year thus far for this West TN talent but Thompkins woke up and showed out big time during their victory last week against First Assembly. The two-way sophomore talent was the focal piece on offense for the Lions last week as they gave him the ball early and often, eventually rushing for 265 yards and three touchdowns. It wasn’t just running the ball where Thompkins produced but also through the air, catching two touchdown receptions. This was easily the best game of the season thus far for Thompkins and maybe a glimpse moving forward of what he can do in postseason play. Game Stats: 35 carr. for 265 yds & 3 TD’s; 2 rec. for 58 yds & 2 TD’s (1 tck, 1 FR on Def.)

Defensive Player of the Week
Newman was everywhere on the field last Friday night during the Patriots 31-14 win over Farragut. This 6’0 middle linebacker played like his hair was on fire, staying in the Admirals backfield all night long and producing at a high level with 10 total tackles and 6 tackles for loss. Three of those tackles in the backfield produced sacks. Newman has put forth a stellar senior season that has put him on the map to be recruited and with more performances like this one, his stock will continue to grow and push more college coaches towards his doorstep. Game Stats: 10 tcks, 6 TFL, 3 QBH, 1 FF & 3 sacks

OL: Fayetteville Tigers
– Last Friday was possibly the best performance yet from the Tigers O-line as they not only held up to allow their QB to pass for almost 300 yards and rush for nearly 100, they also gave him time to find his receivers, including tight end Alex Young Alex Young 6'1" | 195 lbs | TE Fayetteville | 2024 TN , who had a breakout game with over 100 yards receiving.
