Jacob Johanson, OL, Osakis (2024)
One of the most intriguing offensive linemen I watched for the Silverstreaks on Friday night was 6’3 200 pound offensive linemen Jacob Johanson as one of the longest OL prospects amongst the Osakis Hog Mollies. What impressed me about Jacob, was his athleticism in the trenches, as he showed well-versed downhill leverage with his strength with his hands which started with a fluid bend at the line. I also like the rotational base Jacob showed off with the twist he showed with his hands as he showed off good pad-level and quick mobility with his footwork
Andrew Imdieke, RB/LB, Osakis (2024)
At 5’11 235 pounds Silverstreaks senior running back Andrew Imdieke was one of the most durable running backs we watched on Friday night. Andrew got handfuls of yards after contact on Friday, as that sizable body type ran with power consistently between the tackles and I also liked his steady vision within the inside box showing good awareness with his cuts.
Gavin Cimbura, RB/DB, Osakis (2024)
Gavin was a 6’0 180 pound 2024 running back prospect that intrigued me with his elusiveness between the tackles. He showed off catchy agility getting out of high traffic areas smoothly within the inside box and was one on numerous occasions for me had me like “holy cow, he’s still running,” especially in the second half with his 62-yard run which paid huge dividends for the Silverstreaks. I also liked the patient vision Gavin showed off as he persistently waited for the hole to open to proceed yet had the frame to fight thru contact yards.
Grant Mages, TE/LB, Osakis (2024) Twitter
Friday night’s Pass-Catcher MVP came from the tight end position in 2024 tight end prospect Grant Mages of Osakis. The 6’3 195 pounder showed off exceptional hands with the amount of receptions he made in Holdingford, and showed off a handful of great instincts making them look easy in high-traffic areas as well. Not only was Grant a top performer on offensive for the Silverstreaks, he also was outstanding defensively as a prospect that intrigued me for his size with how well he could compete in pass-coverage and was also a consistent ball-hawk in stopping the speed of the Huskers rushing attack. On both sides of the ball, Grant plays with a great football IQ and is fluid with his vision. Grant seems like a hidden gem of a football prospect that should get some college football attention in my eyes from local schools.
Kyle Mages Kyle Mages 6'1" | 175 lbs | ATH Osakis | 2024 State MN , QB/DB, Osakis (2024)
Totaling four total touchdowns, and my selection for overall Game MVP is Osakis 2024 QB/LB Kyle Mages Kyle Mages 6'1" | 175 lbs | ATH Osakis | 2024 State MN . The amount of agility Kyle showed off with his running ability when entering the open field was excellent to see up close as this young man’s instincts were the total package leading the Silverstreaks to victory over Holdingford on Friday night. From a pass perspective the 6’3 195 pound quarterback also showed off some precision with his touch throws within intermediate routes, which was where he had the most success throwing the ball on Friday night showing off a quick release as well with those routes. Kyle was also impressive to me defensively in pass coverage as he showed off a solid ball-tracking ability as a visionary that can travel with his long strides in coverage. The connection between Kyle and twin brother Grant Mages was what I call the “bread and butter” to the Silverstreaks Friday night victory a night in which both brothers took MVP selections for their efforts. Kyle is another hidden gem much like his twin brother, and I was also very intrigued with his great character as well.
