Jordan McCoy Jordan McCoy 5'10" | 175 lbs | RB Tucker | 2024 State GA – Tucker
A strong, physical back with deceptive speed and natural vision, McCoy has been dominant so far this season. The leading rusher in the 5A class ,McCoy is a natural with the ball in his hands who follows his blocks extremely well. He can get tough yards between the tackles with impressive burst and overall speed for someone 5-foot-10 185-pounds. He’s rushed for 1,380 yards so far this season with 22 touchdowns. He’s rushed for at least 100 yards in every game and has rushed for over 225 yards in three separate games. Over the last three games, McCoy has rushed for over 700 yards and 12 touchdowns. He can’t be stopped right now, and he’s not slowing down. His best game came against Decatur where he rushed for 337 yards and five touchdowns in a big 48-39 win.
Fred Brown – Coffee
A crafty, shifty South Georgia back with enough speed to fly past defenders, Brown is one of the top backs in the area and has proved it week after week during the 2023 season. He’s coming off an excellent junior season where he rushed for 894 yards and 17 touchdowns, but he’s been even more productive this fall as a senior. Brown has rushed for 1,294 yards and 14 touchdowns this season with 14 touchdowns. Leading Coffee to an undefeated 8-0 start, Brown has rushed for over 100 yards in every game this fall, averaging 162 yards per game. He’s breaks tackles, but has plenty of speed as well, beating defenses in a number of different ways. He’s averaging 7.7 yards per rush and has scored six touchdowns in his last three games. He’s running wild, and he’s lighting up the stat sheet this season.
Evan Garrett – Northgate
A versatile athlete who can make plays in the backfield, as a pass-catcher, and in the return game, Garrett is an elusive back who can change directions and make opposing defenders look silly. A true sleeper back in the metro-Atlanta area, the Newnan native was extremely reliable last year as a junior, rushing for 868 yards, totaling 129 receiving yards, and 453 kick return yards. A natural playmaker with the ball in his hands, Garrett has rushed for 1,285 yards on 170 carries this fall for an average of 7.6 yards per rush. He’s rushed for over 100 yards in every game but one so far, hitting the 120-yard marker in seven of his eight games. He does so much well and that’s why he’s the No. 3 leading rusher in the 5A classification right now. He’s led his Northgate team to a 6-2 record, and he’s rushed for over 240 yards in the last two games. He’s a 5A running back to keep an eye on for the rest of the season.
