Game Report: Nelson County at Altavista

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>On Friday night, the Nelson County Governors traveled to take on the Altavista Colonels. The Colonels came out on top with a 50-26 victory, improving to a 7-2 record on the season as Nelson County falls to 4-6. It was a great game to watch, and it was probably a little closer than the score shows, but Altavista remained one step ahead to win the game. He is a playmaker on their offense and should be on the radar for teams looking to add a running back. The Colonels are willing to ride with Ladanian's running and feed him the ball every drive. He is smart and has good instincts on the field and was around the ball the entire game on defense. He also plays some Fullback on offense as a lead blocker and runner. He had two interceptions that helped keep Altavista ahead of Nelson County and one at a critical point where Altavista could have tied the game and swung momentum in their favor. He had a key interception before half time to prevent Altavista from going up two scores and putting Nelson County in a great position to come back in the second half. He also throws a nice ball and connected on some nice throws to Tre Terry (see below). He plays with very good physicality and can time his jump and high-point contested catches. He was able to do this multiple times in the game. It got to a point where it was expected and Altavista could still not stop him from making the catch.
