Cartersville at Cass
The Battle of Bartow County. The Cartersville Purple Hurricanes are one of the best teams all across north Georgia, sitting at 6-0 on the season. They’re playing fantastic defensively, giving up just 17 points or less in every game along with two shutouts. On offense, they run the ball extremely well with over 1,100 yards on the ground already between three backs that each have over 200 years. In total, Cartersville has rushed for 15 touchdowns, led Khristian Lambo. They have big wins over Calhoun, Jonesboro, and Cherokee.
The Cass Colonels are an extremely young but talented team that has played very well over the last several weeks. Led by Georgia Bulldog commit Sacovie White Sacovie White 5'10" | 165 lbs | WR Cass | 2024 State GA , the up and coming program has won four straight games and 1-0 in region play. After two early-season losses to Rome and Rockmart, Cass has played very well in all three phases of the game in the last four weeks. They’re a program on the rise and will look to pull a major rivalry upset this upcoming weekend.
Lowndes at Valdosta
In one of the biggest rivalries in South Georgia and across the peach-state, the Vikings and Wildcats are both heading into this giant rivalry game with winning records and with their programs heading into the right direction.
The Wildcats are sitting at a respectable 4-2 with big wins over Cook, Warner Robins, and Deerfield Beach (FL). They are very effective on the ground, rushing for 1,531 yards so far this season at 6.8 yards per rush and 17 touchdowns. Defensively, they’ve held three teams to 12 points or less this year. They’re getting back to their winning ways and are hoping to make a playoff run this fall.
The Vikings are under new leadership and got off to a strong 3-0 start to the season before dropping the last two to very good East Coweta and Grayson teams. They’re a talented team that is hoping to get back on a roll. The coaching staff is excellent, so expect them to be ready to play on Friday night when they head to Valdosta.
Carrollton at East Coweta
A massive game in 7A Region 2, the 5-1 Carrollton Trojans hit the road to take on the 5-1 East Coweta Indians. East Coweta got off to 5-0 start to the season before losing to Lambert. They play sound, fundamental football and bring their best just about every Friday night. Junior QB Cohen Peeples Cohen Peeples 6'0" | 165 lbs | QB East Coweta | 2025 GA has played very well this year, throwing for over 1,000 yards and 12 touchdowns. He has multiple impressive weapons on offense, and he’s led them to at least 30 points in four of their six games this season.
The Trojans are loaded with talent from top to bottom. They are one of the best-coached teams in the state and have one of the nation’s top quarterbacks on the roster in 5-star Julian Lewis Julian Lewis 6'2" | 175 lbs | QB Carrollton | 2025 GA . He’s a young man who knows how to lead, and know how to throw. He’s thrown for 18 touchdowns so far this season, leading to Trojans to at least 33 points in every game. Of course, the Trojans are outstanding defensively as well, shutting out three opponents so far this season. Look for them to make another giant playoff run in 7A down the road.
