We now have a better understanding of which teams are genuinely talented, which teams may have had a stroke of luck in the first few weeks, and which teams are looking to improve for next season. I will provide a preview for each game in week 7 by conference for the 5A level. Up next is the Intermountain Conference. Each game will include a prediction and highlight some players from each team to watch based on their recent performances.
#3 Mountain View (7-0) @ #4 Summit (4-3)
Prediction: Summit def. Mountain View 28-24.
I am eagerly looking forward to this one, as it is easily the game of the week. Both teams playing are strong contenders for the 5A title. It is going to be a close game, but I think Summit will win because of their impressive skill players, and being the home team will help. However, Mountain View could surprise us with a win. So, my prediction is Summit, but let’s see how the game goes.

#12 Redmond (3-4) @ #9 Caldera (5-2)
Prediction: Caldera def. Redmond 14-10.
This game is expected to be very close since all the teams in this conference are skilled. Caldera has been very impressive this season and has demonstrated its ability to defeat teams of similar skill levels. I believe that Caldera will win by a narrow margin at home against Redmond this week, although this game could go either way.

#11 Bend (3-4) @ Ridgeview (1-6)
Prediction: Bend def. Ridgeview 21-7.
Although their record may not reflect it, Ridgeview is a formidable team that puts up a good fight in almost every game they play. They belong to a highly competitive conference and are the only team in the conference that does not rank in the top 15. While they have a chance against Bend, they will need to play a near-perfect game. Bend’s defense has been impressive this year, and it is expected to be the same this week. My prediction is that Bend will leave Ridgeview with a win.
