Akylin Dear
You cannot talk about this class of running backs without mentioning Dear. Quitman has a stud in this guy. He also has a lot of schools blowing up his phone trying to get him on their team. This past off-season, Dear was on a visit at Southern Cal. That is a big accomplishment for a kid that is way in Mississippi. He had over 200 yards rushing last week with 4 TDs.
Moore is a nice running back out of Callaway. He is the number 7 rusher in the state with 1018 yards. He also has less rushing attempts than anybody in the top ten. This is a kid that is flying under the radar. I think that he is a guy college coaches need to go ahead and get in tune with. Do not let this guy get out of state. That’s what I would be thinking if I was college coach coaching in Mississippi.
Smith is doing a great job of being one of the leaders on Picayune’s offense. Smith is considered an all purpose back on some platforms. He is a guy that knows how to be aggressive in the backfield. Smith can also catch the ball outside of the backfield. He lines up at slot sometimes for Picayune. That is what he is considered an all purpose back.
Gaddis scored a 92 yard kickoff return touchdown this past weekend. He is still guy that we have been waiting to see crank up this season. His team really needs to him to start making some big plays.
Nunn has been doing a great job this season. He is a shifty guy that has great speed. Nunn is also a return specialist that Booneville loves to use in many ways. Keep an eye on him this season.
Kyling Champagne is a guy we have mentioned already this week. He is a name to keep up with.
