Cortez Smith Cortez Smith 6'4" | 275 lbs | OL Parkview | 2025 State GA – Parkview
An outstanding 2025 Gwinnett County offensive linemen, Smith is a powerful linemen who play all over the interior. Ranked as the No. 6 OL prospect in the state, the Parkview standout is an easy SEC-caliber prospect and added a new offer recently from the Missouri Tiger. Smith brings plenty of size at 6-foot-4 295-pounds and has helped lead Parkview to a strong season offensively as they’ve scored at least 34 points in five games so far this season. He’s quick off the ball, plays with good leverage, and shows impressive lower body strength, driving defenders consistently out of the play. He’s an excellent pass-protector from the inside and a true mauler in the run game. He has an impressive offer list, and more are likely on the way.
James “TANK” Carrington – DL – Rabun Gap
An explosive interior defensive tackle who can really blow up any particular play, Carrington has proved early on this season that he’s one of the very best defensive line prospects across the country for the 2025 class. He fires off the ball and brings plenty of size at 6-foot-3 275-pounds. He’s active, powerful, quick, and naturally finds his way into the backfield. In just three games, the playmaking defender has totaled 13 tackles, 8 TFLs and five sacks. He’s going to make a giant move up in the latest 2025 Prep Redzone update and is already picking up major offers across the country. He has 5-star potential, and he added new offers recently from Southern Cal and South Carolina.
Kevin Wynn Kevin Wynn 6'4" | 320 lbs | DL Greene County | 2025 State GA – DL – Greene County
In the small town of Greensboro is where you’ll find one of the fastest rising defensive line prospects in the South. At 6-foot-4 320-pounds, Wynn is a bully of a defensive lineman who has enough strength and power to bulldoze his way through double teams on a consistent basis. Through his first six games of the season, the small-town defender has made 36 tackles and 19 TFLs. He explodes off the line and shows a great motor with someone his size. He clogs running lanes up the middle, eats up space, and shows the ability to put pressure on the quarterback as well from the inside. He’s an easy Power Five talent and should see his ranking continue to rise over time. He’s seen his recruitment take off over the last several months and earned a new one recently from the Florida Gators. He also holds offers from Georgia, Auburn, Alabama, Florida State, among others.
Cole Funderburk Cole Funderburk 6'4" | 220 lbs | TE North Gwinnett | 2025 State GA – DL – North Gwinnett
One of the most productive defenders across the state right now for any classification, and one of the fastest-rising defenders in the South for the 2025 class, Funderburk is a promising 6-foot-4 230+ defender who has lived int eh backfield this year. He’s been almost unblockable at times and has lit up the stat sheet so far in 2023. According to MaxPreps, the outstanding Suwanee, Georgia native and playmaking junior has made 46 tackles, 25 TFLs, and 10 sacks so far this season. He’s only getting better, and his offer list continues to grow, earning a new offer recently from Virginia Tech. If he continues to make plays in the backfield and progress as a pass-rusher, look for more Power 5 schools to jump on board with an offer.
