Brennan vs Harlan
With Harlan going into the game with a 2-0 record and Brennan(1-1) looking to continue their win streak after a big win over San Antonio Brandeis look for a few big names to go at it today on the field with an anticipated matchup between Payton Matthews and the whole Brennan secondary especially senior Javyn Dolton Banks and Harlan senior DL Nathaniel Tealer and the whole Brennan OL. This game will come down to who wins the turnover battle and who makes the fewest mistakes this Thursday at Farris Stadium
Hutto @ Steele
Both teams entering the game 1-1 looking to bounce back after disappointing losses last week with a lot to prove especially for Cibolo Steele who won this matchup last year in Hutto. Texas Tech commit and Hutto QB Will Hammond coming off an impressive historic game last week with over 800 yards but not finishing the game with a win, it’ll be interesting to see how much he throws the ball this week vs a loaded Steele secondary with Vanderbilt commits Dontae Carter and Alvin Williamson Jr this Friday.
Ingleside vs Rockport-Fulton
Ingleside has been on a hot streak and yes it’s only been 2 games into the season but Ingleside QB Aidan Jakobsohn Aidan Jakobsohn 6'0" | 170 lbs | QB Ingleside | 2024 State TX has gone 26 for 34 with 10 touchdowns already early into the season and his favorite target University of North Texas commit Jaydon Smith Jaydon Smith 6'0" | 170 lbs | WR Ingleside | 2024 State TX has been on a rampage with 10 catches for 7 TDs so far for that Mustang offense. Smith is making a huge argument for Mr Texas football player of the year early with the numbers he’s putting up on offense as well as in the return game.
Clemens vs Vista Ridge
After putting a check mark into the win column last week Clemens 1-1 has a big game vs Vista Ridge who’s 2-0 going into the matchup. After putting together a solid game last week I expect senior WR Braden Avington to be tested again this week against a really solid Vista Ridge defense.
Floresville vs Somerset
With a convincing win vs Lanier in game 1 and a tough loss to a really good Southwest team it’ll be interesting to see how Floresville 1-1 matches up against Somerset 2-0 in Friday nights big game. Floresville has been led by senior WR Brandon Castillo who is making highlights on both sides of the ball but it’ll be another big test this week versus an undefeated Somerset.
