Adonis Burgess ATH, Chesnee
We don’t THINK Burgess sold hot dogs or programs for the Eagles, but that’s about all he didn’t do. He absolutely filled up the stat sheet, with 3.5 tackles, a tackle for loss, and a fumble recovery on defense. On offense, he had a catch for 27 yards and rushed four times for 42. On special teams, he returned a punt for a 55-yard score and blocked a kick. Burgess is a good barometer for the Eagles – when he’s busy, they’re doing well.
Coleman Gray Coleman Gray 6'2" | 205 lbs | QB Chapman | 2024 State SC QB, Chapman
Gray finished the Panthers’ win over Laurens 22 of 26 for 219 yards and four TDs as Chapman bounced back with a big win over the Raiders. He added 90 tough rushing yards on just 10 carries, and scored once on the ground.
Kamajay Brackett-Brannon QB and Jaylen McGill Jaylen McGill 5'10" | 195 lbs | RB Broome | 2026 State SC RB, Broome
On a night that saw Broome rack up nearly 500 yards on the ground, Brackett-Brannon and McGill led the way. Brackett-Brannon rushed for 206 yards and four touchdowns on just 18 carries in a 62-34 win over Union County, adding 88 yards on 9-of-12 passing. McGill simply did what he does – 23 carries, 287 yards, and five touchdowns.
Tre Segarra Tre Segarra 5'11" | 195 lbs | RB Byrnes | 2027 State SC RB and Andrew Stevens QB, Byrnes
Segarra (pictured) showed again why he’s one of the most highly-regarded freshmen in the area. He touched the ball 11 times, gained 17 total yards, and scored three touchdowns in limited action – two on the ground and one through the air. Stevens, meanwhile, continued his upward trajectory for the Rebels. He completed 16 of 18 passes, threw for 241 yards, tossed a pair of touchdowns, and rushed for another.
Colton Link RB and Braden Mashtare Braden Mashtare 6'0" Landrum | 2024 SC ATH, Landrum
Landrum’s biggest offensive weapons came up huge in a win over out-of-state rival Polk County. Each scored three TDs on the ground in the Cardinals’ big win, and they’re looking to take on even bigger roles as the Cardinals adjust to coach Brent Bridges’ spread offense.
