He had a handful of explosive plays showing some surprising explosiveness compared to last season. Expect the bigger D1 schools to take notice if he can keep this up.
Redman had a huge game with big plays on both sides of the ball. Offensively he rushed for 192 yards and 2 touchdowns. He had a 56-yard run where he broke 2 tackles and turned on the jets for the touchdown. Defensively Redman had a huge 90-yard interception return, he made a man miss and took it in for a touchdown.
Valladares put on a show with 13/21 completions, 334 yards, and 4 passing touchdowns. He’s a mobile Quarterback that can extended the play beyond the pocket and keeps his eyes down field while scrambling. He can make passes on the run with the flick of a wrist, he gets vertical after one cut and has the elusiveness to make a defender miss in open field.
Highlights
Cooper hit the game winning field goal for Spalding Saturday in a tight game against Baltimore power Concordia Prep. He put the icing on the cake with the game winner, after knocking down the extra point and successfully kicking the onside kick. Cooper is currently the #2 kicker and is putting on an impressive performance in this early season. In his last scrimmage he hit a 48-yard field goal, keep your eyes on Welch for him to have a few more splash performances.
