Rea is one of the few starting quarterbacks in the state of Idaho and one that not many people know about playing for 3A Filer. Yet the sophomore quarterback has put up good numbers for the Wildcats throwing for over 1100+. yards on the season. Standing right around 5’8” tall the sophomore has a good mix of run and throw to his game. With a quick release that allows him to get the football out to his playmakers in space, Rea has good timing for such a young passer. While he is still working on his strength that will come as he continues to grow into the position he shows good timing on deep passes and throws a very catchable football. He is one that people should keep an eye out for as he progress not only in his high school career but as he works through the offense, we expect him to be a dominant player by his senior year.
Oden has been a tackling machine this year for Wendell where he leads that state in reported stats at 72 total tackles. A linebacker that really has a nose for the football Wendell shows great instincts at the position as he is able to read his run keys and make plays all over the field. He has a great understanding of blocking schemes that allow him to really trigger and make devastating tackles. His speed is what separates him from many other linebackers and he is really able to play all 53 1/3 across the field. He is a solid tackler that rarely misses and uses good technique to square up runners in the hole while running his feet on contact. He has improved in his ability to rush the passer and drop in coverage which makes him an all around defensive star for Wendell. We wont be surprised to see him on the all state list this season.
