Edwardsville is off to a 4-0 start on the year and Brown is big part of that. He has been productive at his linebacker spot with 22 tackles, 2 sacks, and 2 forced fumbles. He has great instincts trusting his eyes and reading his keys. He is always around the ball, playing a physical style of football leading to big plays. He’s been gaining some momentum in recruiting with interest from D2, NAIA, and D3 programs.
Highlights
Issac Phipps
Issac Phipps
Phipps has been a problem for teams so far this season. He is leading the state in sacks with 8.5 on the year. He is a speedy edge rusher that has a high motor and doesn’t stop until he gets to the quarterback. He has good get off with active hands making him difficult for tackles to block.
Logan Davis
Logan Davis
At 6’5 320 Davis has ideal size for a left tackle. He is a tackle that has good feet as well. He is able play in space and climb to the second level to block linebackers. He is a solid pass protector that can use his length to keep defenders away. Davis should be a guy college coaches look at for the next 2 years.
Marlon Fluker
Marlon Fluker
Fluker has been averaging 70+ receiving yards a game his senior year. He’s been a guy that has caught my eye through the first 4 weeks. He has great height at the WR position but he can also take the top of the defense with his speed. He scored his first touchdown last game but he gets a healthy share of targets every week so more touchdowns are on the way this year.
