Munir Kassa
Munir Kassa
Kassa continued to prove how disruptive of a defender he is, totaling 8 tackles, 4 TFLs, and 4 sacks in Lincoln’s 34-0 shutout of Cajon (San Bernardino). He’s an athletic defender off the edge that plays with speed, bend, and relentlessness. He’s been one of the most productive defenders for Lincoln’s high-level defense, totaling 28 tackles, 14 TFLs, and 8 sacks in the Hornets’ 5-0 start.
Damon Ivey
Damon Ivey
Ivey showed his versatility at the S position posting 6 tackles, 2 sacks, and an INT in Carlsbad’s 38-7 win over Ramona. He’s a dynamic defender in the secondary that can track down ball-carriers as an extra defender in the box and make plays over the middle of the field in coverage. Ivey’s one of the most versatile and underrated safeties in San Diego.
Roberts came through with impactful plays in Lincoln’s win over Lincoln, including 2 blocked punts, 13 total tackles, 2 TFLs, and a sack. He’s a highly smart, athletic ILB that excels at reading/diagnosing, reacting to the football with explosive burst, and delivering violent contact on ball-carriers. Roberts leads CA’s 10th-ranked team in tackles (67) and TFLs (15).
Nico Jara
Nico Jara
Jara continued to shine in all three phases for Steele Canyon recording an INT and a KR-TD in their 26-12 win over Valhalla. In last week’s win over El Capitan, he returned two punts for TDs, caught a TD pass, and had an INT. He’s a skilled athlete with high playmaking-upside wherever he lines up. Jara’s an early-season stock riser among San Diego’s 2026 class.
Graham Bower
Graham Bower
Bower was a standout on both sides of the ball in Coronado’s 21-14 win over Canyon Hills totaling 10 tackles, 2 sacks, 3 TFLs on defense and 91 rushing yards and a TD on offense. He showed quick, nimble athleticism exploding into the backfield and tracking down ball-carriers behind the LOS. Coronado finishes non-league play with a home matchup against Mar Vista this Friday.
