He has been on fire with his performances. He also has stepped up big for his team when they have needed him to in big games. This is not a player that we need to sleep on this season. The young man is already on the verge of being the all-time passing yards leader in the state of Mississippi. He has started this season off the way you want your guys to start off the season. He went in and had a very tough battle with Oak Grove and their four-star quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='344082' first='Anthony' last='Maddox']. Him and his squad went to Lafayette County and handled business against a public school this past Friday. He is a major part of them doing what they are able to do this season. Jones is committed to Southern Miss, but there are some power five schools that are still showing interest in Jones. He is a player that has been shining this season. He already has almost a thousand yards rushing. He also has been up the toughest teams in the state. Two previous state champs and a runner up. That is going to hold a lot of weight when it comes down to make the decision for this award.
