Lets take a look at some of athletes who should be getting college attention:
Smith is one of the top athletes in the state when it comes to his versatility out on the edge. Smith has the ability to line up anywhere on the field but primarily plays wide receiver for Boise. If you have watched any of their games this season he lines up at running back, wide receiver and quarterback and is dangerous in all three spots. After making the switch to wide receiver this season Smith has quietly had a dominant five game stretch where he make big play after big play. He is one of the fastest players on the field at anytime and really does his work once the ball gets in his hands wherever and whenever it gets to him. He just finished up have a dominant performance against Mountain View where he had 12 catches for 132 yards and two touchdowns. He is a someone who should be on all the colleges radars at any level that needs a wide receiver with game breaking ability.
Nelson is one of the top two way players in the state where he stars at running back and defensive back for the Lions. He is able to impact that game in so many different ways whether it is breaking tackles, making tackles and is dangerous in the return game. As a running back he has deceptive speed and quickness to go with his amazing balance that allows him to break tackles and out run defenders. On the defensive side of the football Nelson is able to really make an impact with his outstanding tackling from the safety position but shows the flexibility in his hip to move out and line up at cornerback. He projects as a running back at the next level but it wouldnt surprise us to see him end up as a strong safety or outside linebacker on the defensive side of the football with his ability to run.
