The Bulldogs ended their 14 game losing streak with an dominant shutout victory over Osbourn Park last 29-0, could they go on a winning streak now? They have to get through the Eagles who battled but were shutout themselves this past Thursday at the hands of Colgan. A game with a lot of intrigue if you are asking me, here are a few players to watch out for below:
Elijah Armstead Elijah Armstead 6'0" | 210 lbs | DL Osbourn | 2025 VA
Elijah Armstead Elijah Armstead 6'0" | 210 lbs | DL Osbourn | 2025 VA
Really like this junior defensive tackle for the Eagles, he was making plays last week on the road in a hostile environment. Very stout and and a pain to block for interior offensive lineman Armstead has a chance at nabbing all-district honors with more showings like the one he had last Thursday. He is deceptively nimble on his feet and you better not put the football on the ground or he will come up with the pigskin.
A tough, incredibly fast scat back, who withstood a pounding under center last week for the Eagles was Edward Hogan Edward Hogan 5’7″ | 170 lbs | ATH Osbourn | 2025 State VA . Osbourn primarily was operating the wildcat offense and Hogan saw himself on the run for most if not all of the evening. That didn’t stop him from nearly breaking a couple of long touchdown runs, if it had not been for Colgan’s tremendous defensive effort, he could off found the endzone on numerous occasions. Now that the tape is out on the Eagles, it will be fun to watch this junior navigate defenses every week. He is quick, he is elusive and he will not hesitate to lower his shoulder pads into you, if you are not careful he will make you pay.
Logan Marshall Logan Marshall 6'0" | 180 lbs | RB Hylton | 2025 State VA

Early on when Hylton was victimized by penalties and mental mistakes, it was this stud who got the Bulldogs going. Ripping off two touchdown runs in the first half, it was clear he was ready to put this team on his back. Rushing for over 100 yards in the contest, Marshall did just that and just like the rest of his team, he is a team first guy, you have to admire that approach. The junior is making his way up the recruiting boards with his dynamic ability both on the football field and in the classroom (3.67 GPA).

Jacob Benavides-Dipini
Jacob Benavides-Dipini
The signal caller for the Bulldogs junior Jacob Benavides-Dipini is coming along nicely and improving each week. He is a tremendous athlete who can return kicks, catch passes, even take off out the backfield, he is a weapon for Coach Murphy’s squad. Under center last week he had a couple of big time throws that put the game out of reach including his touchdown strike to senior Josh Rahimi late in the game. He also added a rushing touchdown, proving that he is a dual threat for the whole conference to watch out for. It will be interesting to see how Hylton uses him going forward, he is too dynamic not to be in the game.
Joshua Rahim
Joshua Rahim
Possibly one of the most overlooked class of 2024 recruits in the entire Cardinal District is this young man Joshua Rahim. Standing at 6’3 with a 40 under 4.7, Rahim should start to get more college coaches attention very shortly. What is fun to watch about him is he is a team first player, you can see in their big win last week, he was concerned with only one thing, getting the victory. He certainly helped in that too, with a big touchdown catch late in the game to help the Bulldogs snap their losing streak. With interest from Ferrum College and UNCP already, I could see this young man playing major division 2 football next fall.
