Arrington was out to make a name for himself Friday night when his Wingfield Falcons took on Forest Hill. Wingfield would lose the game, but not without the best performance I saw all last week. Arrington carried the ball 23 times for 454 yards and five touchdowns. The senior running back looked the part as he ran with power and quickness.
Brady Clark Brady Clark 6'1" | 175 lbs | QB Central Hinds Academy | 2024 MS | SR | QB | Central Hinds
This is the second time in the past three weeks that Brady has made my list. Clark completed 13 of 16 passes, which accounted for 164 yards through the air and four touchdowns. Along with having a great night through the air he had 33 rushing rushing and one touchdown on the ground. Clark is one of the main reasons the Cougars offense is so dominat this year.
Paxton Cottingham | SR | RB | Pisgah
Cottingham was able to poke holes all over the Richland defense on Friday night. The Pisgah runningback racked up 211 yards on 33 carries and scored four touchdowns in the Dragon’s 39-6 win over Richland on Friday night. The way Cottingham runs the ball I would not be surprised to see him make this list again this season.
Garrison Davis Garrison Davis 5'11" | 190 lbs | QB Holmes County Central | 2025 State MS | JR | QB | Holmes County
The Florence Eagles defense didn’t know what hit them when Davis and his Jaguars defense came into town Friday night. Davis took care of business equally through the air and on the ground. Davis went 13-15 passing for 172 yards and two passing touchdowns while piling up 175 rushing yards on ten carries and two rushing touchdowns.
Octavius Hunt | JR | SS | Northwest Rankin
Hello Mr Hunt! The Cougar Safety proved he was a force to be reckoned with Friday night against Brookhaven. The Cougar defender had 13 tackles and two interceptions in their 41-19 win over Brookhaven. Hunt was able to turn one of his two interceptions into a pick-six. Hunt is the type of defender that I want on the field. He plays physical and fast.
