Hershey. Hershey had a big win this week beating their rival Milton Hershey 33-22. A successful win for Hershey as they improved to 4-1 on the year. Hershey went 5-5 last year so with their next win they will match their season total from last year. They are looking to make a run to the playoffs this year as well this year.
Coach of the week:
Bryan Strohl Cocalico. I know I know I already picked Strohl earlier this year, but he is a good football coach and deserves his due. On Friday night Cocalico beat Lampeter-Strasburg 24-10. If you asked me before the game I thought Lampeter-Strasburg had a good chance to get the win, but Coach Strohl and Cocalico prevailed again. Strohl and his option offense are a tough out every week.
Play of the week:
Tight end leak or tight end throwback. This is a great concept that teams use all the time to create an opportunity in the passing game. You get the quarterback and the offense flowing one way and then you sneak the tight end out in the route and hit him in the passing play.
Prospects of the week:
Highlights
Angel Cabrera Angel Cabrera 6'0" | 230 lbs | LB Hershey | 2024 State PA Hershey. A throwback running back and linebacker who is physical and tough as they come for Hershey. Against Milton Hershey he was unstoppable. He rushed for 258 yards and 3 touchdowns in the big 33-22 win. Cabrera is a tough physical running back I am excited to see how his season progresses going forward.
Dorian Smith Dorian Smith 5'9" | 170 lbs | ATH Susquehanna Township | 2024 State PA Susquehanna Township. Smith is someone I found earlier this year when I was doing to Susquehanna Township preview. I was blown away by how good of a player he is. Fast forward to this season, he has continued to show how talented he is when he rushed 199 yards and a touchdown for Susquehanna Township’s 28-19 win over Shippensburg.
Highlights
Brady Heiser Brady Heiser 6'1" | 200 lbs | QB Gettysburg | 2025 State PA Gettysburg. Heiser had himself a big game on Thursday Night against Mechanicsburg in a 41-20 win. He had 256 yards in the game. Heiser has 155 yards in the air, 101 yards rushing, and 3 touchdowns. Heiser is an elite prospect and he is showing it each week how talented he is as a player.
Brennan Holmes Brennan Holmes 6'0" | 175 lbs | WR New Oxford | 2024 State PA New Oxford. Holmes is a player that got on my radar in the off-season when I saw his Junior film. This being his Senior year Holmes has stepped up and been a consistent player for New Oxford. In a 35-14 win over York Suburban Holmes caught 3 passes for 133 yards and each of the catches were for touchdowns. A great performance for a talented New Oxford team.
Chase Regan Chase Regan 6'0" | 180 lbs | DB Bishop McDevitt | 2024 State PA Bishop McDevitt. Regan got on my radar last year when I saw his film at the safety position for McDevitt. This year he added playing wide receiver for the Crusaders and he has had a strong year. Regan caught 5 passes for 126 and 2 touchdowns for McDevitt last week against Cedar Cliff. The James Madison commit is having a strong Senior year.
